Developing Nanjing into an International Sports City Against the Backdrop of Enhancing People's Fitness as a National Strategy: Opportunities and Path Selection

In order to create a larger development space,building sports cities has become a strategic choice for many countries and regions.Based on the background of people's fitness becoming a national strategy in China,this article uses literature analysis,logical analysis and research methods of urban planning theory to give an in-depth analysis about the theory of sports city development.It also expresses the strategic significance of developing Nanjing as an international sports city.This will not only enhance the quality of people's lives in Nanjing,but also will strengthen the restructuring and upgrading the local economy,and the city's international influence.Furthermore,it analyzes the basic conditions and problems of accelerating the development of Nanjing as an international sports city.Finally,this article provides some tentative plans for the development methods,such as bringing major sport events to Nanjing,enhancing local people's participation rate of sports activity,developing sports enterprises and brands,promoting youth sports and deepening the reform of sports administration.At last,we hope this article will provide some inspiration and reference for other sports cities' development in China.
