| Abstract: | Shi Zanning's Biographies of Eminent Monks in Song Dynasty was complied after Shi Huijiao's Biographies of Eminent Monks and Shi Daoyi's Continued Biographies of Eminent Monks.As Shi Zanning was closely related with the supreme ruling clique,his Biographies of Eminent Monks in Song Dynasty was imbued with the nature of official compilation while the other two were non-official compilations. |
