On the Translation of the English Abstracts of Social Science Papers from the Perspective of Eco-translatology

Eco-translatology,which involves "ecology" and "the translation studies",is an ecological approach to translation studies.Based on the theories of eco-translatology,this paper expounds this significance of translation of the English Abstracts of social science papers from the perspective of eco-translatology,using such main core ideas as the theory of "harmonious unification" of translation ecological system,the theory of "translation as adaptation and selection" of translational action,the theory of "according a centrality of place to the translator" of translating subject,etc.to guide the practice of translation of the English Abstracts of social science papers.
