| Abstract: | The people at ancient Kucha believes the Hinayana Buddhism and were the adorers of Indra. This paper discusses the meaning of Indra and the relevant presentation of the motif in Kizil grottoes. Those paintings expressed people's praise and the expectation for the support of their King. |
