On the deposit mode of local publications in small and medium-sized cities

Based on a thorough analysis of the feasibility and necessity of the deposit of local publications in small and medium-sized cities, the author proposes a new deposit system with the participation of the local government, university libraries and public libraries. The article expounds the subject from the following angles： the construction of the main organization, the contents of the deposit, the platform of the deposit. The concrete tactics of determining the leading position of libraries of higher institutions, amalgamating the local e-government and listing newly-published books compiled by the state are also discussed in the article.
