| 摘 要： | 本文主要描述数字图书馆的概念和特征，以及中国数字图书馆的实例－－上海交通大学数字图书馆试验基地的建设目标、建设内容、网络结构以及进行跨语种、跨平台的检索和采用的一些标准和工具。在2001年试验基地建成后，将拥有大约17B的文献信息资源数据，它将成为中国乃至全数字图书馆的重要文献资源节点之一。

| Abstract: | This paper provides an overview of the concept and characteristics of digital libraries and reports on a case study of a digital testbed,Shanghai Jiaotong University Digital Library.It describes the objectives,coverage,infrastructure of the testbed and the tools it used in developing a multilingual,crossplatform search facility.The authors believe that this testbed can serve as a model for digital library development in China and the world. |
