Principle of Coordinates Acquisition Based on Single Camera

The principle and accuracy of 3-D coordinates acquistition using one single camera and the Aided Measuring Probe(AMP0are discussed in this paper,Using one single camera and one AMP which has several embedded targets and one tip with known coordinates.the single camera‘s orientation and location can be calculated.After orientation.the global coordinate system is obtained.During measurement.the camera is fixed firstly.then the AMP is held and the feature point is touched.The camera is triggered lastly.The position and orientation of the AMP are therefore calculated from the size and position of its image on the sensor.Since the tip point of AMP has known relation with the embedded targets.the feature point can be measured.Tests show that the accuracy of length measurement is 0.2 mm and accuracy for flatness measurement in XSY-plane is 0.1mm.     

Brain MRI segmentation using KFCM and Chan-Vese model

To extract region of interests (ROI) in brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with more than two objects and improve the segmentation accuracy, a hybrid model of a kernel-based fuzzy c-means(KFCM) clustering algorithm and Chan-Vese (CV) model for brain MRI segmentation is proposed. The approach consists of two successive stages. Firstly, the KFCM is used to make a coarse segmentation, which achieves the automatic selection of initial contour. Then an improved CV model is utilized to subdivide the image. Fuzzy membership degree from KFCM clustering is incorporated into the fidelity term of the 2-phase piecewise constant CV model to obtain accurate multi-object segmentation. Experimental results show that the proposed model has advantages both in accuracy and in robustness to noise in comparison with fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering, KFCM, and the hybrid model of FCM and CV on brain MRI segmentation.

Studying on the increasing temperature in IT-SOFC： Effect of heat sources

The dimensions and the materials type limit the performance of fuel cell. The increase of the temperature in electrodes and electrolyte of the cell,is due to the over potential of activation (transfer of load),the over potential Ohmic (resistance of polarization),the over potential of reaction (heat released by the chemical reaction) and the over potential of diffusion. In this paper,we studied the thermo-electrical performance of an intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell (IT-SOFC) with electrode supported. The aim of this work is to study this increasing temperature of a single cell of an IT-SOFC under the influence of the following parameters: heat sources,functioning temperature and voltages of the cell,geometric configuration and materials type. The equation of energy in one dimension is numerically resolved by using the method of finite volumes. A computing program (FORTRAN) is developed locally for this purpose in order to obtain fields of temperature in every element of the cell.

Language Transfer in Third Language Acquisition

Language transfer is one of the areas that have received special attention in the research of third language(L3).This paper focus es on the transfer of syntax from first language(L1) and second language(L2) in the early stage of third language acquisition(TLA).It aims at finding out whether L1 or L2 is the main source of transfer and trying to account for this phenomenon in light of typology and psy chotypology theories.A story telling task is used among 8 university students who have Chinese,English and French as L1,L2 and L3.The findings indicate that although both L1 Chinese and L2 English exert influence on L3 French production in the form of transfer,more L2 transfer occurs due to the typological and psychotypological similarity between L2 English and L3 French.The results confirm previous studies on the important roles of typological and psychotypological similarity in determining the source of transfer in a multilin gual’s language production.Some pedagogical implications of the findings are also discussed.
