美华留学生文学滥觞于20世纪60年代留学美国的台湾留学生文群，他们大都经历了从大陆到台湾、从台湾再到美国的双重放逐。前所未有的心灵深度体验和异域生活的陌生，构筑了美华留学生文学丰富的主题涵纳：除了沉重的乡愁悲歌和苍凉的历史感喟之外，还具有和乡土的紧密牵连。美华留学生文学表达一种边缘性的情感和体验而自成一体，成为留学生作家沉郁的乡愁情结的凝结，是对中国文学中乡愁主题的延续和拓展。

当今时代,全球范围内的华文文学创作呈现出一派生机勃勃的景象,尤其是美华文学,更是海外华文文学的翘楚。在琳琅满目的美华文学作品中徜徉,令人总要重新思考：文学的真正标准究竟是表现对社会人生的历史追索,还是表现对人的生活、生存甚或生命存在的关注与叩问？或者就是追求一种“有意味”的美学形式？在这里,社会学、哲学与美学的标准不一而足。     

叙事与述史：多元重合的精神空间——文学叙事与历史叙事比较的理论基点

“文学”与“历史”作为两种叙事形式，其联系与区别一直引起人文学者的争议。通过梳理学术史上有关文学叙事与历史叙事的不同表述，将能够确立二者比较的理论基点。本文在分析“历史”概念的二重性及“历史哲学”演进过程的基础上，借助于对西方思想史上不同流派尤其是新历史主义学者观点的回顾，探讨历史与文学在叙事趣味、虚构方式上的类同及叙事特征、言说内容上的差异。文学叙事与历史叙事的重合与分野，为文学研究提供了新的更为开阔的方法论视界。

近几年来，“草根”一词频频亮相于各种媒体，真可谓万人瞩目。上网随便一搜．那真是“草根”遍地．野草丛生。如：草根经济、草根文化、草根政治、草根文学、草根博客、草根工业、草根学者，甚至是草根MBA、草根和尚等等。可以说，三百六十行，行行出“草根”。例如：
