Graduate Business Students and Business Information Literacy: A Novel Approach

Currently the literature examining formal business information literacy (BIL) instruction and graduate business students focuses on the collaborative efforts between individual librarians and business school faculty members to bring information literacy into the classroom. This article argues that all graduate business students need formal BIL instruction to succeed in their studies and as business leaders. The unique decade-long collaboration between Hofstra University's Axinn Library and Frank G. Zarb School of Business is examined.

Integrating Information Literacy into Business Education: A Successful Case of Faculty-Librarian Collaboration

This article reports on a successful case of collaboration between business librarians and faculty members in selecting, procuring, and servicing electronic databases in meeting academic objectives in one of the largest undergraduate business programs in the United States. Using a survey to measure students' self-reported knowledge before and after a training module developed and conducted by librarian and faculty, this study shows the extent of learning gain with respect to students' ability to locate, evaluate, and use effectively the required information. Comparing to the results of a control group of students without the training, the authors adjusted for learning gain due to other activities or measurement. The findings show significant perceived as well as objective learning gain as a result of concerted team efforts in training and teaching by the librarian and discipline faculty.

商业技术在职学生信息素养对职业技能影响之研究

采用问卷调查法,针对“国立”台北商业技术学院在职学生为研究对象,探讨现今商学技术在职学生信息素养对职业技能之影响。藉由研究结果,作为提升在职学生就业能力及工作表现之参考。

Summary

With the rapid advances in information technology, the proliferation of information resources and formats, and the increasing complexities of access and evaluation, libraries recognize the necessity for a dynamic information literacy program that will address the needs of all categories of users. University faculty constitute one group of users to which the systemic college library increasingly endeavors to extend and market its services and programs, including its information literacy training workshops. A consideration of this library/classroom faculty relationship in the context of the adult education literature, as well as successful models that have been employed in this effort, provide insight on ways in which the library can successfully accomplish its information literacy training objectives among this group.     

从普适技能到嵌入实践——国外信息素养理论与实践回顾

20世纪70年代,在信息技术迅速发展和信息资源日益重要的背景下,信息素养概念产生。随后,美国图书馆界率先将书目指导业务转型为信息素养教育,信息素养也成为图书馆情报学的重要研究领域。本文主要依据国外信息素养领域文献及其他相关文献,对信息素养概念、理论、实践的演进进行了比较全面的分析和总结,旨在为国内同仁从全局角度理解国外信息素养领域的各种变化,提供线索和洞见。研究发现:国外信息素养领域对早期信息素养概念进行了四种不同性质的修正及两次颠覆性改变,引进和发展了多种相关理论,包括各种流派的建构主义学习理论、各种批判理论和实践理论,实施了不同路径的信息素养教育实践;这些相互影响的发展变化导致了三种信息素养范式的出现:普适技能范式、情境化能力范式和嵌入实践范式。通过对已有范式的反思,本文提出未来信息素养研究和实践应将培养持久的信息获取利用习惯纳入考量范围。     

论信息素养教育与学业指导的融合

[目的/意义] 信息素养教育变革的实践突出表现在在线教学或混合式教学方面，鲜有体现知识、交流、社群等特征。大学图书馆需要寻求一种可行的路径逐步推进变革的实践工作。[方法/过程] 学业指导在高等教育工作中发挥了巨大作用。从利益相关者、内容构成、实践过程、目标要素等方面对学业指导与信息素养教育进行结构化解析，比较分析二者的共性与特性。[结果/结论] 信息素养教育需要与学业指导融合，逐步推进信息素养教育变革：注重校园层面的合作，注入变革源动力；嵌入学业过程，提升教育实践影响力；发展社群学习，提高教育效果。进而，信息素养教育全面深度地支持学生全面发展，推进变革并在人才培养中持续发挥优势。     

Flipping the Business Information Literacy Classroom: Redesign,Implementation, and Assessment of a Case Study

A team of librarians at Purdue University transformed a business information literacy course from a traditional lecture, 40-student class into multiple sections of a flipped, 70-student classroom to meet the request that the successful course be required for all 500 undergraduate students. Scaling up required the adoption of flipped learning techniques for better utilization of library teaching resources. This case study provides key insights for others implementing credit classes or integrating similar content into one-shots or embedded work. It also describes the assessed results determined through student feedback (focus groups) and student performance (pre/post-tests).     

The Blended Business Librarian: Technology Skills in Academic Business Librarian Job Advertisements

The purpose of this study was to identify technological trends in academic business librarianship. Forty-five job advertisements were collected over a 5-year period spanning from 2007 to 2012. Ten technology skill categories were identified, and the frequency at which the skills appeared in the job advertisements was measured. This article also includes a discussion about the impact of technology on business librarianship and recommendations for academic business librarians and employers.     

信息素养和媒介素养教育的融合途径——联合国“媒介信息素养”的启示

[目的/意义]传统的信息素养教育强调检索技能和方法,联合国教科文组织近年来提出的"媒介信息素养"(简称MIL)概念,首次将媒介素养和信息素养融合形成复合型概念,对目前媒介融合环境下的信息素养教育有着指导性意义,明确提出和媒介素养融合的思路和策略,有利于提高信息素养教育的人文性和社会性,突破学科的局限性,探索新的跨学科结合点,实现创新和发展。[方法/过程]通过归纳分析近年来有关媒介素养和信息素养比较研究的成果,结合国内外的媒介信息素养理论和实践,尝试提出媒介素养和信息素养融合的途径。国内信息素养教育应融合媒介素养教育,实行参与式教学,革新在线课程,建立学科之间融合交流的平台,加强国际合作交流,发挥图书馆的中介作用,实现从技能型向素养型教育的转化。[结果/结论]信息素养教育需要避免单纯的技术至上的取向,将技能学习和媒介信息解读能力结合培养;与媒介素养结合是趋势所向,媒介信息素养概念的提出,拓展了信息素养的学科视野。     

高校图书馆用户信息素质教育组织模式

回顾信息素质教育及研究发展,分析信息素质现状和不足,探讨信息素质教育规划与实施的组织,即有关信息素质教育体系、教育政策、教育内容、教育目标及信息素质标准等的规划,有关信息素质教学模式、教学大纲、教学评价等实施方案的构建。提出“2 3”教育模式,即开展两个层次教育和实施3种教育方法。同时,强调信息素质教育应遵循的原则。     

广州地区大学生信息素养水平调查研究

文章在借鉴国内外诸多信息素养评价标准和方法的基础上,遵循科学性、可操性等原则,建立和完善了大学生信息素养水平评价指标体系,并科学地确立相关指标权重,对广州地区大学生信息素养水平进行了调查研究,以期通过更为宏观、客观的定量及定性研究结果为大学生信息素质教育改进、信息素养与其他领域交叉研究的开展提供依据。     

澳大利亚的大学信息素养教育进展

采用文献调研法和网络调查法,梳理了澳大利亚信息素养教育发展历程。然后以联合国教科文组织《信息素养国际发展报告》为线索,调查分析了澳大利亚部分高校信息素养教育在线课程的现状和特点,归纳了三种评估模式。     

Information Literacy at an Academic Library

Abstract

An increase in its distance-learning student population prompted Regent University Library to consolidate the library's information literacy program into one course. The course eventually went online to meet the needs of distance learners. During course development and implementation, librarians learned what worked well and what did not. Unexpected obstacles, such as database name and interface changes, created problems that were handled and overcome. As student surveys were analyzed and librarian experience increased, the course evolved and changed.     

大学生创业决策的信息保障研究

大学生创业面对的是开放的信息环境,大学生创业就是根据这个信息环境变化与自身状况而不断调整的一个动态决策过程。大学生创业决策需要科学的信息保障体系做支撑。就如何构建这一信息保障体系,文章从构建原则,五大内容体系,组织层面与内容层面需要解决的关键问题,信息素养与信息保障效能的发挥等方面进行了研究分析。     

论国民信息安全素养的培养

对信息安全、信息安全意识、信息素养和信息安全素养进行剖析,发现目前信息素养教育仅重在信息能力的培养,而忽视信息安全素养教育。认为信息安全素养应该包括信息安全意识、信息安全知识、信息安全能力、信息伦理道德等内容。指出国民信息安全素养低下的主要原因,提出有效提升国民信息安全素养的4种途径：推进信息安全法规建设,注重多层次培养体系建设,加强师资队伍、教学资源开发,发挥各类组织优势。     

信息时代高校图书馆与信息素质教育初探

对信息素质的内涵以及目前我国信息素质教育的现状做了阐述，并且就高校图书馆开展信息素质教育的途径进行了探讨。     

我国高校图书馆在线信息素养教育资源调查及建设策略

以国内39所“985工程”高校图书馆为调查对象,通过网络调查法,从图书馆主页中的发布途径、开放程度、资源内容、表现形式和资源来源等方面,分析在线信息素养教育资源的建设情况,提出我国高校图书馆在线信息素养教育资源建设策略,包括纳入资源服务系统,实现一站式检索;借鉴MOOC的合作开放理念,实现资源共建共享;加强信息道德和法律内容的建设,注重特色资源建设;丰富教育资源的多样化表现形式;扩大馆外优质资源的收集与推荐等。     

关于在高校开展信息素质教育的思考

文章提出：将信息素质纳入大学生综合素质评价指标体系；将信息素质教育贯穿于大学教育全过程和全方位，并与创新素质教育相结合；将其作为一项跨部门、跨学校的教育教学工作；将提高教师信息素质作为重要的基础工作。
