Though bibliotherapy has long been used as a supplement to medical therapeutics, it has heretofore been based upon the patient's reading and discussion of selected books. This paper reports the first instance of bibliotherapy with nonreaders. The special limitations of brain damaged patients are discussed, and a flexible program of library work with these patients is set forth. 阅读治疗是一个新兴的研究课题,是一个面向未来有前途、有价值的研究方向,开辟了一个图书馆服务的新空闻。分析开展阅读治疗的原理和开展阅读治疗的过程中应该掌握的一些技能,发现了目前图书馆开展阅读治疗诊断和推荐阏读图书的过程中会存在着一定的随意性和盲目性。但是,在医学生物模式向生物一心理一社会模式的转变,人的心理和行为健康日益受到重视的大背景下,图书馆拓展阅读治疗的新空间应该有一个发展的机遇。参考文献15。  相似文献

Death and dying are dealt with realistically and sympathetically in current children's literature. Books can play an important role in helping children suffering from catastrophic illness by showing how other children have coped with similar situations; they can also form a basis for bibliotherapy with patients. Aims and objectives: UK health policy advocates a patient‐centred approach to patient care. Library services could serve the rehabilitation needs of mental health service users through bibliotherapy (the use of written, audio, or e‐learning materials to provide therapeutic support). Part 1 of a two part article describes a systematic review of the evidence for the effectiveness of bibliotherapy in mental health services. Methods: The systematic review of the literature used Cochrane guidelines, together with an overview of evaluations of bibliotherapy initiatives, and assessments of the needs of adult mental health service users for rehabilitation support. Results: The evidence strongly suggests that library‐based interventions and the provision of information could be beneficial for service users and economical for the health service in assisting treatment of a range of conditions. At present, public libraries in the UK are developing basic bibliotherapy services. Conclusions: Librarians, including librarians working for the health service, might provide more sophisticated bibliotherapy services, but the evidence to guide delivery is limited.  相似文献

[目的/意义]通过对奥地利儿童阅读推广的分析,为中国儿童阅读的推广提供相应建议。[方法/过程]采用文献调研法、比较分析法和归纳演绎法,对奥地利儿童阅读推广主体、推广模式进行具体分析,探讨奥地利在儿童阅读推广活动中值得借鉴的实践经验及启示。[结果/结论]研究发现:奥地利儿童阅读推广具有主体多元化、阅读读物以图书为主并兼具报纸等其他读物、推广模式多样等特点。认为我国应加强阅读推广项目策划的科学性,加强面对弱势群体儿童的阅读推广,加强与社会力量的合作,加强对家庭亲子阅读的推进和指导。  相似文献

中国古代社会有一个兼具开放性与超稳定的阅读系统。文章从四个方面总结了中国古代社会的阅读特征:从阅读的绝对垄断到有限控制;以儒家经典为主要阅读对象;强烈的实用主义阅读色彩;口语阅读和文字阅读系统的对立。并在论文最后得出结论———中国古代的阅读史,就是一部建立于文字与文献基础上的阅读史,是一部士们的阅读史,是一个以知识精英为主体的阅读历程的记录。  相似文献

Widely varying recommended reading lists for psychiatry residents were obtained from 140 AMA-approved training programs. Approximately 4,000 articles, 2,800 books, and 200 serials were listed. The number of recommendations for each book was counted, and a rank-order determined. A second rank-order was determined from the lists of those eighty-seven programs which indicated that their material covered the "basic" literature; a third rank-order was determined from the number of residents using the lists. All rank-orders agreed on the "most recommended" book and the first eighteen books; there was a 92 percent correlation through the first 453 books. One-third of the "basic" recommendations were for the first 104 books; one-third for the next 349 books, and one-third for the remaining 1,994 books. The subject matter of the first 104 books indicated that the currently most popular subjects in psychiatry are psychoanalytic theories of personality, schizophrenia, psychotherapy, and child psychiatry. Most business law faculty agree that their students should be exposed to outside reading in order to broaden their understanding of course materials, better relate the law to practical business situations, and become aware of future trends in the legal environment. For these reasons, many business law teachers send their students to the library to research and write reports using various source materials, including cases outside the textbook, historical background material on the various areas of the law and current journals and newspaper articles. For those teaching at large universities with well-stocked libraries, the choices of research sources are many and varied. However, for those teaching at small universities or community colleges, the choices may be quite limited indeed. Often, at the smaller schools, business law teachers may be given a very limited budget and allowed to order only a few books a year. The question arises, then, for the business law teachers at smaller schools: "What are the most important research sources to have in their libraries?" If a priority list could be drawn up, those business law faculties would be able to use the little library money they do have in a more beneficial way. This article will discuss the library materials which business law teachers feel are necessary as resource tools, and the order of priority in which they should be acquired. The information supporting this article will be acquired by a survey of randomly selected teachers of business law in AACSB-accredited schools.  相似文献

There is a dearth of core lists for the mental health librarian and materials must be selected from several sources. This list is described as "basic," but it does provide a core collection of books, journals and Web sites which can be used by mental health librarians to build or evaluate collections. "Classics" not contained in this list should also be included in library collections as well as a comprehensive handbook, Tasman's Psychiatry, to which mental health practitioners can refer for a quick answer to a question. Most importantly, the library collection should reflect the purposes and philosophy of the medical staff and institution it supports.  相似文献
