新课标将培养学生的情感态度作为数学教学的重要目标之一。因为有效的数学学习来自于学生对数学活动的参与，而参与的程度与学生学习时产生的情感因素密切相关。因此努力构建健康而富有活力的学习活动，培养学生健康的情感品质，锻炼克服困难的意志。建立自信心，体验数学活动充满着探索性和创造性。感受数学的严谨性以及数学结论的确定性，形成实事求是的态度以及进行质疑和独立思考的习惯显得尤为重要。
