先声:1919赤色风暴起沪西

1919年,对中华民族而言,乃多事之秋,但也是重要且关键的历史转折之年.俄国十月革命胜利,建立了世界上第一个社会主义国家,这极大地鼓舞了在黑暗中寻求革命真理和出路的中国先进分子.他们在黑暗中见到了黎明的曙光,沪西的劳苦大众也在迷惘中看到了一线希望.1919年1月,丧权辱国的巴黎和约,致使北京爆发了声势浩大的五四运动,像火山喷发一样,国人积压已久的愤怒顷刻间爆发.     

The press and political continuity in China: The case of the World Economic Herald

This paper, utilizing the method of case study, investigates the role of the Shanghai‐based World Economic Herald in China's political democratization in the 1980s, and analyses its relationship with the social changes of that period.

A prominent theme running through this study is that political democratization must be coupled with economic growth in order for the role of the press to change in China.

Results of the study suggest that the World Economic Herald, throughout its ten‐year existence, became more and more politically oriented and outspoken in its coverage of key political issues. The findings also reveal that in early 1989, the Herald waged an unprecedented struggle against the Party's tight control of the news media and for political democratization including press freedom. However, its role in promoting political change was restricted by the nature of China's reform movement, which was characterized by a separation of political reform from economic reform. The development and demise of the Herald provided a window through which it could be clearly seen how the press affected and was affected by the social changes in China in the historical period of the 1980s.     

编辑科学判定稿件水平的三种途径

审稿是编辑工作的核心部分,在信息传播速度明显加快、稿件日益增多的今天,如何做到科学有效地审稿和判定稿件的水平,成为考察编辑能否胜任审稿工作的一项最重要内容.近几年,许多探讨编辑学理论的文章突出强调编辑的换位意识,这对于改变过去编辑在审稿中存在的主观随意性来说,无疑很有必要.但同时也需要指出,这只是审稿工作的一个方面,因为,编辑审稿的实际过程是编辑的水平、思路与稿件的水平、思路的对比与互动过程.科学地判定稿件的水平,需要把握这种对比与互动过程的特点及规律.本文就这一问题,拟从编辑审稿思维方式的角度,初步提出以下三种科学判定稿件水平的途径.     

数字时代编辑需要提升的三种能力

数字时代对编辑工作提出了新要求和挑战。如何面对数字时代的编辑出版工作是每一个编辑出版人需要思考的问题。本文认为,数字时代的编辑除了要秉持并深度开掘传统出版积淀下来的一系列科学的理念与做法之外,还应该从提升"与人打交道"的能力、提高对"数"的敏感力、提高对创意产品的认识和制作传播的能力三方面提高编辑的自身素质和职业修炼,并以此为抓手提高出版物质量,为赢得数字时代出版市场的发展机遇进行不懈的努力。     

文学评奖与文学编辑的"艺术真实观"——从前三届茅盾文学奖获奖作品的出版谈起

1978年十一届三中全会的召开为社会主义文艺建设拉开了新的序幕.1981年中国作家协会根据茅盾先生遗愿设立了专门针对长篇小说创作的茅盾文学奖.面向具有国家性质的文学评奖,文学编辑的"艺术真实观"在作品的刊发和出版上起到了决定性作用.前三届茅盾文学奖获奖作品在题材上都体现了文学编辑对于生活真实和历史真实的要求,在主题上反映了他们坚守的人民立场和当代省思.文学编辑的眼光、魄力和韧性促成了作品的出版问世,他们的精心打磨帮助作品获得了荣誉.     

The Family Business: Entertainment Products and the Network Morning News Shows

The morning news programs provide an excellent forum for television broadcast networks to benefit from “corporate synergy,” but do they simultaneously compromise the intent of the social responsibility theory of the press? This study measured the entertainment content of the three network morning shows and correlated that to the ownership of the programs and the products being promoted. Results show the morning programs fill their daily news hole at least 20% of the time with entertainment and sports topics, that the entertainment products covered are more likely to have been produced by the networks' parent companies, and that the coverage of entertainment topics is almost certain to be favorable. The results are further evidence in support of calls for revision and update of the Social Responsibility Theory of the Press. The authors suggest that the adoption of the concept of stakeholder theory, applied in the business literature, offers a framework for making responsible editorial decisions in an atmosphere of corporate synergy.     

谈辞书编者的知识观

文章从知识管理视角,把辞书作为一种知识产品,探讨辞书编者的知识观(包括辞书本体知识的特点、编者知识结构的构成、两类知识转化模型建构等,即理清数据、信息、知识3个层次的概念),明确编者个人知识、集体知识、公众知识双向转化的特征,认识显性和隐性知识的获取、表达和转化的复杂性。

已占"半边天"的学术期刊女性编辑,依然未能挣脱性别刻板印象的窠臼.性别刻板印象中的学术期刊女性编辑形象表现为:惯常定势的按部就班者、敏感脆弱的自信缺乏者和自我发展遭遇瓶颈的职业倦怠者.在探析其成因后,提出重塑女性编辑形象的路径:普及社会性别观念,真正将性别意识纳入决策主流;女性编辑主体意识的自我觉醒,做到自我认可和自我平衡;挖掘女性编辑气质特征,发挥独特女性视角.

文学翻译是一种社会化行为,译作必须经由出版、传播,并被他人接受,才有可能实现其社会价值.在翻译出版过程中,编辑既是翻译内容审查者、出版过程协调者,也是译文读者同盟军和翻译质量把关人.编辑行为是对原作、原作者权威的一种解构,同时也是对编辑话语权力的一种建构.然而,在不同出版环境下,编辑的话语权并不相同.在中国当代文学的海外译介过程中,很难找到在语言和专业知识方面都很出色的编辑.译稿的部分编辑任务落到了译者身上,造成译者代理编辑行使职权的现象.这种代理编辑行为有其内在原因,也有其潜在风险,需要进行仔细辨析.

The First Printed Indexes

The origin of indexing can be traced back to antiquity, but its development was very restricted until after the introduction of printing from movable type. By the late fifteenth century the indexing of books was a firmly established practice, although methods differed. This formative stage is brought to light through an analysis of five representative indexes of the time. Despite crudeness of format and of subject analysis, and the lack of syndetic features, these early indexes display ample evidence of the techniques chat were to be improved upon-but not essentially changed-in the future.
