国外电子书馆际互借经验与启示

采用光沉积-液相化学法调节电子流向,构建了直接Z型TiO₂/Ag/Ag₃PO_{(4 )}(TAAPO)光催化材料.通过扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、透射电子显微镜(TEM)、X射线衍射仪(XRD)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)、紫外-可见漫反射光谱仪以及光致发光(PL)光谱仪等手段对其进行表征,并对其在可见光照射下催化降解环丙沙星(CIP)的性能进行了研究.结果表明,当水体pH为3.0,催化剂分散浓度为0.3 g/L,CIP的初始浓度为15 mg/L时,光催化降解体系能够取得最佳的去除效果.在该组条件下,光照120 min CIP的降解率约为99%,并且在经历4个循环后仍然保持了良好的降解效果.在光催化降解CIP的过程中,主要反应活性物种为超氧自由基(·O₂     

Demand for E-books in an Academic Library

ABSTRACT

Rather than create a collection solely to support distance learners, libraries should consider the needs of all customers when developing a digital library. The acceptance of digital libraries is dependant upon the conversion of resources to an electronic format that is easy to use and is fully searchable. While electronic journals are widely accepted by most academic library customers, the delivery of online books has had a very different acceptance rate. Rather than support the sequential reading of books, electronic books are commonly used to find information and can be particularly well-suited for reference purposes. This article will provide insight into the history of e-book models and evaluate the usage statistics of a large electronic book collection in an academic library.

Exploring Patron-Driven Access Models for E-journals and E-books

This session presented two librarians' experiences with patron-driven access models. With an emphasis on collaboration, the librarians explained how pay-per-view and just-in-time acquisitions models are changing how users access information in an era of constrained budgets. The presenters shared strategies and decision-making methods with the audience, as well as the benefits and challenges of these models.     

Library purchasing consortia: the UK periodicals supply market

This article is based on surveys undertaken for a British Library Research and Innovation Centre/Library and Information Commission‐funded research project. It describes the models of operation of purchasing consortia in two library sectors (health and higher education) and their expenditure patterns. Present and future savings deriving from consortial activity and the effects of consortia on periodicals suppliers are discussed. The article closes by predicting future activity.

[目的/意义]探究用户使用电子书意愿的影响因素,以有助于电子书产业走出缓慢的发展困境。[方法/过程]以UTAUT2、使用满足理论为基础,从需求满足和外部情景因素两个层面构建影响因素模型,并将需求满足细化为内容需求、社交互动需求和休闲娱乐需求3个测量变量。采用问卷调查方法收集有效样本1 013份,使用AMOS21软件对模型进行验证。[结果/结论]研究发现,需求满足、阅读习惯、价格价值、社会影响对使用意愿有正向影响作用,而激励措施对使用意愿有负向影响作用,努力期望对使用意愿的影响不显著,并依据研究结果提出促进电子书产业发展的建议。     

高校图书馆电子书的发现与获取机制研究

高校图书馆OPAC系统对电子书的整合为编目工作带来了一系列挑战,包括有限的可用的记录、缺乏标准化、难以管理添加和删除电子书问题、供应商提供的低质量数据。图书馆使用资源发现系统面临的困难包括电子资源的不完全覆盖,依赖其他来源的元数据、访客用户访问存在障碍、依赖电子书供应商平台获取全文。对于所存在的问题,电子书数据库、资源发现系统开发商应进一步完善其系统功能,电子书元数据制作的标准化问题也应引起关注。     

Copyright,E-books and the Unpredictable Future

The shift to e-books and digital publishing is challenging the basic models of copyright and contracts that underlie the functioning of book publishing—a mature business with 500 years of history—making it hard to predict what shape the business will take in the years to come. This article looks at two of those challenges: first, the tension between a fast-changing technological marketplace and the standard book contract that locks in book rights for life of copyright; and second, the specific complications presented by image rights. There are, however, first steps being taken to allow books to make the transition to the digital marketplace with all their rights information intact and easily accessible, facilitating future transactions between agents, publishers, and new trading partners. The final section looks at the work begun by the Book Industry Study Group to create a standardized rights framework for this purpose.
