应把媒体民意调查引入政府决策机制之中

当今媒体的高度发达,为各级政府提供了了解社情民意、聚集民智的重要载体和平台.通过媒体民意调查来吸取、引导民意,应当成为各级政府决策中必不可少的重要环节,也是从管理型政府向服务型政府转变的必由之路.本文立足中外政府的媒体民意调查实践分析,研究其学理意义和操作运用方法,以期为各级政府推动决策科学化、民主化提供借鉴.     

Poll Reporting and Journalistic Paradigm: A Study of Popularity Poll Coverage in Hong Kong Newspapers

Opinion polling has become a common feature in news and public discourse in Hong Kong. This study examines how local newspapers cover popularity polls about the government and its leaders. It is hypothesized that newspapers adhering to different journalistic paradigms would cover such popularity polls differently in terms of the inclusion of methodological information, use of news sources, emphasis on negative versus positive results, treatment of polls conducted by different entities, and use of visual means of representations. A content analysis was conducted on four newspapers which represent the professionalism, populism, and propaganda paradigms, respectively. The results show that there are both similarities and differences in the poll coverage of the newspapers, with the differences mostly corresponding to the differences in journalistic paradigms. The results also point to a number of phenomena about news media in Hong Kong and poll reporting in general.

在分析机器翻译的可读性和可懂性含义的基础上,首先阐述二者对于人们在检索和阅读外文资料过程中所起到的作用,然后提出三个影响机器翻译可懂性的指标,并引入词性和指标的权重,最后给出一种新的机器翻译译文质量的可懂性评价模型.

Readability and acceptance of public relations releases from institutions of higher education

This study compared readability levels for PR releases used and not used by newspapers to determine if they differ in reading difficulty. Flesch scores and other readability measures were calculated. Releases used were easier to read. However, releases with longer paragraphs were more acceptable with shorter paragraphs.     

面向农民的问答系统问句处理研究*

为提高农民获取信息的便利性,文章着重面向农民问答系统的开发,提出问答系统由知识库构建、问句处理、信息检索、答案抽取4个模块组成,其中问句处理是研究重点。在总结农民问句特点的基础上,提出基于疑问词和短语的问句分类方法,并在问句处理过程中采用去除客气词、建立针对非正式疑问词和无疑问词时的“特殊规则表”等方法,以有效地进行问句归类及关键词提取。同时利用所构建的“同义词扩展词表”扩充关键词,并设定不同的权重基准,为信息检索模块的处理奠定基础。

1 充分利用现刊的现实意义 现刊一般是指一年之内的期刊.据有关资料表明,期刊的利用高峰期大约在出版后的一年以内.从期刊的利用现状看,现刊的利用率要比过刊高,比例约为3∶1.因为读者所需要的信息有70%以上是从现刊中获得的,所以说,现刊是期刊利用的黄金时期,最能发挥其时效性,利用价值也最高.     

Readability and Basic Course Hybrid Textbooks in Human Communication: A Disparity of Reading Difficulty

Parents play a pivotal role in the gender development and sex-typing of children. It is important to discover whether gender role communication differences exist based on the sex of the child or parent. The present study aimed to discover differences in gender role messages communicated between mother-daughter, mother-son, father-daughter, and father-son dyads. Participants (n = 630) completed a modified version of Bem's Sex Role Inventory. Two key results were discovered: mothers communicate significantly more feminine messages to children, regardless of child sex; and the modified BSRI identifies respondents as weak vs. strong gender identity rather than masculine, feminine, androgynous, or undifferentiated.
