在以奥林匹克运动为主要内容的体育全球化冲击下，民族传统体育如何发展是我们面临的一个重大问题．文章通过对民族传统体育和奥林匹克运动的比较分析，结合我国民族传统体育的现状，提出求同存异，相互促进，从而能更好的发展我国民族传统体育，推进体育社会化的进程．

The Introduction of Computer‐based Testing on an Engineering Technology Course

The current situation in higher education is one of increasing student numbers with a decreasing unit of resource. To help cope with this situation lecturers are exploring the possibility of using non‐traditional methods in some aspects of their work. One possibility is to apply new technology in the assessment of students. This paper presents a controlled comparison between traditional paper‐based tests and those using a computer. It is concluded that the new technique is acceptable to students and produces results with no deterioration in their validity; it also has great potential for the saving of staff time.

Called into crucible: Vocation and moral injury in U.S. public school teachers

This article reports some of the results of interviews with 120 Israeli Druze, 60 middle-aged adults and 60 young adults, regarding values, views of the Druze community, and personal identity. All participants expressed commitment to and love for traditional Druze values of familial respect, respect for others, modesty in dress and behavior, and commitment to Druze beliefs about one, all-powerful God and the reincarnation of Druze souls within the Druze community. Because the Druze religion is secret, open for study only to those Druze who live according to the letter of the religious law, most Druze today are not religious, defining themselves as traditional. Education in Druze values, mostly in the family, is the extent of their religious education. Most participants expressed a need for there to be some religious concessions made by the sheiks who set and enforce religious policy, in order that more people may pursue higher education and work outside the village and also study the inner secrets of their religion. Without this the Druze religion may be in danger. Connection is drawn between the Druze and other traditional religious societies.

运用文献资料、问卷调查、专家访谈、数理统计等方法对水族传统体育项目的现状进行调查。结果显示：保持开展的水族传统体育项目在逐渐减少,全民健身和学校体育都是以现代体育为主,水族武术和一些民间技艺已濒临失传;部分水族传统体育项目变换了其内容或形式,转化为民俗活动的一部分延续下来。     

Changing Teachers' Thinking Through Critical Constructivism and Critical Action Research

Abstract

This paper studies attempts to change teachers' thinking towards a construc‐tivist perspective within science education. The contexts surrounding the research are important: ideas of critical constructivism, critical action research and the work of Paulo Freire are brought to bear on teacher education in Recife, northeastern Brazil. A professional development course was designed to explore with secondary science teachers some elements of constructivist thinking, and to shape action research projects within their own classrooms. The course design is described, along with some of the responses of the participants both during and after they undertook their projects within their secondary schools. The responses highlight the tensions of trying to innovate with ‘non‐traditional methods’ within traditional situations, the advantages and drawbacks of ‘freeing up’ classroom discussion and authoritative teaching.     

传统武术的发展困境与对策研究

传统武术经几千年发展至今,逐渐从人们的视线中淡化出去,随之代替的是日本空手道,韩国跆拳道,美国拳击等技法突出的外国格斗技术,而中国传统武术却被一直冷落着得不到很好的发展。为了很好的继承传统武术及其得以发展,本文运用收集法、资料整理法、逻辑分析法,针对当前传统武术所面临的困境,从可持续发展的视角提出了依靠政府出台相应的保护与引导政策、从应走进校园,从孩子抓起、回归历史舞台——打擂台、坚持大众化的发展方向几个方面进行了探讨,为传统武术的发展提供理论依据。

爱·摩·福斯特是20世纪英国著名的作家,其作品包括六部小说、两部短篇小说集、几部传记和一些评论文章。关于他的长篇小说,大多数的人研究其小说反映出的英国中上层阶级的精神贫困,以及在每部作品中主人公都试图通过挣脱社会与习俗的约束来求得个人解放。可是很少有人关注福斯特在他的这些长篇小说中表现出来的他对他母亲的态度。福斯特在其小说中无意识地流露出对母亲的既爱又恨的双重态度。     

Conceptions of traditional cosmological ideas among literate and nonliterate Nigerians

This paper examines the nature of selected traditional cosmological concepts among literate and nonliterate Nigerians. An analysis of the data reveals that the subjects, irrespective of their level of education, class, sex, age, religion, tribe, or locality, hold in varying degrees certain traditional as well as scientific concepts about the natural phenomena. An exposure of some of the subjects to an history/philosophy of science course appears to enhance their preference for a scientific worldview vis a vis a traditional point-of-view. The implications of these findings for traditional societies deserve a closer consideration.     

Virtual schools: The changing landscape of K-12 education in the U.S.

Virtual schools are a growing phenomenon in k-12 education. School systems in almost every state in the United States offer some version of fully online or blended education. It is no longer far-fetched to conclude that if the current trend continues, virtual school enrollments will eclipse those of traditional brick-and-mortar k-12 institutions within the next 10 years. This paper examines some of the challenges and strengths of virtual schools, it offers questions to consider when deciding whether or not a virtual school option would be ideal, and it draws conclusions, which provide an outlook for the future of virtual schools in k-12 education.     

国内外青少年传统文化教育比较研究

任何伟大的民族都有本民族的传统文化,这是一个民族得以自立于世界民族之林的基本依据,每个国家都需要发挥传统文化的民族凝聚力和道德教育功能,以维护现有社会秩序的稳定。研究不同国家如何利用本国传统文化资源开展教育,对于加强和促进我们的传统文化教育具有十分重要的意义。笔者尝试对几个典型的国家利用其传统文化资源对本国青少年进行教育的比较和分析,从而启发并探索加强和促进我国青少年传统文化教育的有效方法。     

中国传统服饰文化的旅游价值及其开发初探

本文首先分析了我国传统服饰文化资源的4个主要特点,然后从旅游开发的角度分析论述了我国古代传统服饰的旅游开发价值,最后从服饰旅游产品设计的角度对我国传统服饰文化旅游资源的产品设计提出了初步的建议。     

Disciplinary traditions and the dissemination of knowledge. An international comparison of publication patterns in journals of education

This paper presents findings from two studies of publication patterns in leading English, German, European and US journals of education. The studies were funded by the German Research Association and conducted by an international team of researchers. All papers published in 14 selected journals between 2001 and 2010 were analysed in terms of their author profile, their methodological approach and their thematic focus. The analyses resulted in publication patterns for the selected journals and at an aggregated level for the four geographic areas in which journals are published, highlighting many similarities, but also distinct differences. As far as the differences are concerned, the lower share of female authors and the relative low proportion of papers drawing on empirical research in German journals are noteworthy. For US journals, the comparatively low importance of papers drawing on the international research discourse seems to be particularly important. Based on an analysis of related studies in this field the paper demonstrates a degree of alignment of publication patterns with disciplinary traditions and formation processes in the field of education. However, the trend analysis provided also shows that some of the traditional boundaries of education as an academic discipline are in a state of flux.     

Academics and their work under dawkins: A study of five NSW universities

This paper reports views of academic staff from five Australian institutions of higher education on a number of issues relating to teaching and research and changes affecting their work since the introduction of the unified national system. While most academics are satisfied with their jobs, staff morale is given a low rating. Academics cite a number of limitations experienced in carrying out their research and teaching. The academic work week is just under 50 hours, but there are clear differences between the established and newer universities in the apportioning of time to research and teaching related activities. This pattern is repeated in the publication record, grant success and perceived pressure to upgrade professional qualifications. The data suggest that the newer universities feel under pressure to emulate the structure and organisation of the traditional “elite” universities rather than seeking a legitimate niche for their particular type of operations within the unified national system. This means that for some years they will find considerable difficulty competing with traditional universities using the standard measures of research performance.

大学生社会责任意识现状分析及培养

本文采用自编问卷对289名大学生进行社会责任意识的现状调查。调查表明大学生总体是积极向上的,具有较为强烈的社会责任意识,但其中少数大学生仍存在着家庭责任心不强,对社会发展关注不高等问题。高校应该通过改进传统教育模式,发挥环境育人功能,依托情感教育和价值观教育,增强大学生社会责任的主体意识,提升当代大学生社会责任意识教育。
