QUICK ESTIMATES OF THE RELATIVE EFFICIENCY OF TWO TESTS AS A FUNCTION OF ABILITY LEVEL

When comparing two tests that measure the same trait, an overall comparison is not enough. Separate comparisons should be made at different levels of the trait. A simple, practical, approximate formula is given for doing this. The adequacy of the approximation is illustrated using data comparing seven nationally known sixth-grade reading tests.

运用数理统计原理,对体育系94级《体育测量评价》期末试卷进行定性、定量的分析,结果表明：试卷的效度和信度良好;致使学生成绩偏低的重要原因是试卷难度偏大.教师应加强体育专业学生专业理论学习的力度,着重培养学生理论联系实际的能力.     

试论英语小句词序的历时演变

通过从历时的角度追溯、分析、综合古英语、中古英语以及现代英语的基本词序和探讨英语小句由于词形逐渐变化等因素而出现稳定和统的趋向 ,可以认为研究语言的演变必须综合考虑语言的外部历史和内部历史。     

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS AS AN AID IN DESIGNING AN INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM

The usefulness of a structural analysis of pretest items in designing an instructional system is illustrated by the application of this technique to 100 addition computation problems. 10 structural characteristics of the problems were derived from the more general objectives of the instructional system (micro-objectives) and used as predictors of problem (mini-objectives) difficulty level in a stepwise regression analysis, in a manner similar to that of traditional studies of readability. The authors point out that regression equations derived in this way can be used to plan lessons in which all problems would be of approximately equal difficulty, and thus could have maximally reliable entrance or pretests, and might also be concerned with only one factor or topic. Lessons could be arranged from easiest to most difficult by using the regression equation to predict lesson difficulty. It is thought that the size of the multiple correlation between difficulty level and the structural variables may be an indication of how well the micro- and mini-objectives of the instructional system have been formulated.     

TOWARD AN IMPROVED MEASURE OF REMOTE ASSOCIATIONAL ABILITY

A lack of satisfaction with existing measures of creativity and the need for a more theoretically sophisticated approach to measurement in this area were identified Mednick's remote association theory of creative behavior was reviewed, and Mednick and Mednick's operationalization of that position, the Remote Associates Test (RAT), was analyzed both logically and empirically. An alternative measure of remote associational ability, the Functionally Remote Associates Test (FRAT), was offered as a more logical extension of Mednick's theory. Empirical data were presented which suggest the superiority of FRAT to RAT as a measure of creativity.     

MEDIA IN NATIONAL ADULT LITERACY PROGRAMMES: AN ANALYSIS AT THREE LEVELS

This article sets out to analyse the media requirements of a national adult literacy programme in a developing country. Media requirements are specified at three levels ‐‐ village, provincial, national ‐‐ and the interrelations between the levels are discussed. It is suggested that priority should be given to the development and provision of elementary aids, and the broadcast element is seen as providing a supportive role for the direct face‐to‐face elements of literacy teaching.     

ABILITY FACTORS AS A FUNCTION OF ADVANTAGED AND DISADVANTAGED GROUPS

Preliminary factor analyses of predictor tests in advantaged and disadvantaged groups is recommended as a way of forming a priori expectations concerning validities of the predictors to guide both use and research. Factor analyses of Project Talent ability measures are reported for groups defined by top and bottom quartile placement in intelligence and socio-economic status. There are no important differences in results associated with differences in socio-economic status, but there are fairly numerous differences in loadings for individual measures in groups defined by level of intelligence. Most of these differences can be explained by the characteristics of the scales of measurement. For a small number of measures, however, there is evidence for differences in loadings as a function of the intellectual level of the subjects per se. These latter measures would be expected to have differential validities for similarly selected intelligence groups, but not for socio-economic groups.     

关于"在"字结构语序问题的分析

关于"在黑板上写字"等几个句式转换时所呈现出来的不对称现象,学者们一直以来都十分关注,并且试图用各种方法来解释这种不对称现象。一方面可以从句法结构的内部入手来探讨这个问题;另一方面也可以从句法结构的外部入手来解释这种不对称现象。这两种不同的角度其实从一个侧面反映出汉语语法研究所遵循的一个轨迹:从描写语法到解释语法,并且解释的角度也发生了变化。     

区域金融发展与产业结构优化升级关系的实证研究--以安徽省为例

产业结构优化与金融发展密不可分,文章选取产业结构优化比率和金融相关比率两项指标,针对安徽省金融发展与产业结构优化升级的关系,运用非平稳时间序列和多元线性回归分析定量分析了1984～2014年相关数据。结果显示,安徽省金融发展与产业结构优化升级存在着长期均衡关系,金融发展是推动产业结构优化升级的格兰杰因,金融发展对三次产业贡献度顺序为二、三、一产业。为了更好的促进安徽产业结构优化升级,应加快金融发展,调整金融结构,完善金融体系。     

依托职业资格证书培养高职学生综合能力的思考--以国际商务专业为例

对高职国际商务专业学生进行实践能力的培养,让他们考取相应的职业资格证书是提升其业务综合能力和就业竞争力的有效途径。但是目前在高职院校推行参考现行国际商务专业职业资格证书的过程中,学生还存在一定的误区,专业教学与考证要求的融合度也存在一定的差距,所以应采取有效措施,提升国际商务专业培养计划与职业资格证书的融合度,以更好的促进学生职业能力的培养。     

TEST RELIABILITY AS A FUNCTION OF ANSWER SHEET MODE

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of using separate, machine scorable answer sheets on the number of marking errors made by third-, fourth-, and sixth-grade students. Half of the Ss at each grade level answered in the test booklet (AIB), and half answered on separate answer sheets (SAS). The number of marking errors for the SAS group was approximately three times as great as for the AIB group at each grade level. This indicates that test standardization information must specify the answer sheet mode used to collect normative data.
