University administrators, college deans, department chairpersons and directors, faculty members, graduate assistants, and undergraduate students were mailed questionnaires concerning the roles of and attitudes toward graduate assistants at the University of Minnesota. Basic agreement was found to exist among the six groups surveyed with regard to many aspects of graduate assistantships. Graduate assistants were found to have little knowledge of many departmental concerns that directly affect them. Remodelling the roles, responsibilities and working practices of all school staff has been central to the government's modernisation agenda for English state schools. This is typified by a determination to review and change the distribution of tasks undertaken by teachers and teaching assistants (TAs). Whilst there has been a substantial increase in the numbers of TAs employed in schools there is still a lack of clarity about their roles and about the impact of remodelling on the working lives of both teachers and assistants. Evidence from the Transforming the School Workforce: Pathfinder Project, conducted immediately prior to the launch of the National Agreement in 2003, indicates that initial concerns about the ways in which TAs were being deployed are still very apparent. Here the authors focus on management and professional development issues arising from TAs adopting more pedagogical roles in schools. 相似文献

以《幼儿园工作规程》的颁布为标志,我国幼儿园教育改革作为一场自上而下的改革运动至今已走过了十年的历程。关于这场改革成效的研究应当成为我国当前幼儿教育研究的重要课题,以为我国幼儿教育政策决策服务。但目前已有研究基本上建立在主观判断或现状描述的基础之上,缺乏实证依据的支持。开展幼儿园教育改革成效研究应当抓住影响改革成效的关键阶段与关键问题,采用定性、定量相结合的实证性研究方法,从多个角度客观、公正、全面地分析和评价我国幼儿园教育改革的成效。 相似文献

This pilot study used a quasiexperimental design to evaluate the Whole Inclusive School Empowerment (WISE) project providing educational psychology services to kindergartens to support students with diverse learning needs. There were eight intervention kindergartens that received WISE educational psychology services and eight control kindergartens without the service. The intervention kindergartens were provided with a 0.125 educational psychologist and 0.7 teacher coordinator. In January and June 2017, teachers in intervention and control kindergartens completed questionnaires assessing student behavior, school readiness, and their own teaching efficacy. Focus group sessions involving teachers and school principals were conducted in July 2017. The results indicated a greater improvement in prosocial behavior and school readiness in intervention kindergartens compared with control kindergartens. Teachers and principals reported that they were better equipped in supporting diverse learning needs. The results provided initial evidence supporting the effectiveness of educational psychology services for kindergartens in improving student outcomes. 相似文献

学前教育的发展日益受到国家的高度重视和社会各界的广泛关注,财政在学前教育上的经费开支近几年也有显著的提高。但当前我国学前教育财政投入现状整体仍不容乐观。由于财政投入不到位,导致出现“入园难”、学前教育师资难以满足实际需求、区域间学前教育发展差距拉大等问题。因而,应借鉴民办高校独立学院的办学模式、鼓励发展平价小规模民办幼儿园和扩大宣传力度等方面拓展学前教育的投入渠道,提高学前教育财政经费的使用效率,以缓解我国学前教育财政投入不足的问题。 相似文献

随着农村学前教育的发展,农村幼儿园师资学历层次也亟待提升。通过问卷调查和访谈发现,江苏省H市农村幼儿教育师资学历以专科为主,具有较大的提升空间。然而,本科学历教师与专科学历教师相比,虽然在理论知识方面比较全面、扎实,但实际教学能力不足,存在理论与实践脱节等问题,反映出在幼儿教师学历提升背后更深层的素养提升问题。 相似文献

Although many researchers have pointed out that educational robots can stimulate learners’ learning motivation, the learning motivation will be hardly sustained and rapidly decreased over time if the amusement and interaction merely come from the new technology itself without incorporating instructional strategies. Many researchers have identified that the sustainability of the learning motivation is closely related to the instructional strategies. Accordingly, learners must be well guided by suitable instructional strategies to enhance and sustain their learning motivation. In other words, suitable instructional strategies are required even if introducing educational robots to learners can stimulate learning motivation at the beginning of learning activities. Literature also suggests that systematic instructional strategies can be designed with the use of the Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction (ARCS) model. As the rapid development of robotics, it has become feasible to apply the educational robot for enhancing learning. A robot teaching assistant (RTA) was designed to enhance and sustain learning motivation for the learning of English reading skills. A quasi-experimental design and the Instructional Material Motivational Survey questionnaire were used for data collection and evaluation. The findings showed that the design of the RTA-based learning activities guided by the ARCS model for learning English reading skills can significantly improve learners’ learning motivation, learning performance, and continuance intention. 相似文献
