木芙蓉旧事

有段时间,我常到成都出差,在宾馆的花园里居然看到了木芙蓉．早上经过的时候还是淡粉色的．午饭再看已经是深红。在我家乡也有,是三醉芙蓉．又名千面女郎。因为它清晨初开时为白色或粉红色．后逐渐变为深红．傍晚时变为紫红色．越开越艳。所谓“晓妆如玉暮如霞”．就是指这个特色。

我的粉红情结 躺在床上．一遍又一遍地听着周杰伦的新歌《稻香》,看着头顶的天花板,是粉红色的。不知道为什么,现在看到粉红色的时候心里有种莫名的激动．所以就让父母帮我把我房间的色调改成粉色的了。     

木芙蓉叶总黄酮提取纯化工艺的研究

目的 研究提取纯化木芙蓉叶总黄酮的工艺.方法 采用正交试验优选总黄酮的最佳提取条件并用聚酰胺纯化.结果 最佳提取条件为提取3次,乙醇浓度50％,料液比1∶10,提取时间1.5 h.聚酰胺纯化条件为上样浓度2.25 mg/mL,乙醇解吸浓度70％,解吸速率2 BV/h,洗脱液用量为2.5 BV.结论 利用本实验的优化工艺可使总黄酮纯度达到60％,工艺可行.

拥有粉色胸脯的格林纳达鸽子是加勒比海格林纳达岛的国鸟,被认为是世界上最濒危的鸽子之一。总长30厘米,分两种颜色,白色的有白色额头和白色的羽毛,从肩开始扩展。纯黑色的翅膀白色底,尾巴尖白,眼睛苍白,粉红色的腿、脚。据估计,这种腹部呈粉色的小鸟的数量已经急剧下降到150只。

通过对乡村旅游从业人员的职业培训,能够提高从业人员的综合素质,从而保障产业得以健康持续发展。经过对成都市乡村旅游从业人员的调查访谈发现,在目前的培训体系中,在培训方式、培训内容、成本分摊和考核体制等方面存在一系列问题,最后在此基础上提出了针对性的对策建议。

身上十分痛,心里痛十分

父亲生来迂腐。当初送他读大学,父亲唯一的希望就是毕业以后他能够留在城市,有一份不错的工作,有一栋叫作家的房子,有一种不同于乡村的城市生活。可是他偏偏选择了个人创业,从银行贷下一笔款,又独自跑到陌生的乡村搞起养殖。记得把想法说给父亲听时,父亲拍着桌子冲他吼叫。父亲当然不会同意,在他看来,放弃好不容易分配的工作,大学就等于白读了——何况花了那么多钱,吃了那么多苦。     

INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURES AND STUDENT ENGAGEMENT

A common finding in the literature is that institutional structures have little to no impact on student engagement and development. I argue that theory suggests peer ability (as measured by selectivity), institutional density, the differentiation of the curriculum, and the research orientation of the institution should all affect student engagement. Using the nationally representative Beginning Post-secondary Student survey, a non-linear selection on observables correction for selection bias, and a multilevel modeling approach, I find that institutional structures do affect student engagement in predictable and substantively significant ways.     

EMERITUS PROFESSORS: ENGAGEMENT AND INVOLVEMENT

Teachers and practitioners of gerontology in universities and social agencies are overlooking an important resource that resides in the skills, experience, and knowledge of retired professors. Many of them are healthy, financially secure, and willing to volunteer their talents in interdisciplinary and intergenerational projects on the campus and in the community. The author suggests that retired professors, organized in an Emeritus College, officially recognized and modestly funded, would bring a grand‐parental, extended‐family presence to the campus, and provide a partnership with teaching faculty and students involved in gerontological education and practice. Such a college would not displace regular faculty or graduate assistants, but provide supplementary support in organizing and participating in symposia, lectures, research, tutoring, public relations, fund‐raising, and similar activities on the campus and in the community. The two‐year experience at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale is reviewed.

DYNAMICS OF ENGAGEMENT AND DISAFFECTION IN A SOCIAL STUDIES CLASSROOM CONTEXT

In this investigation, we replicated Skinner et al.’s study of the dynamics of engagement with a more diverse sample of Grades 6 and 7 students from a middle school with a large English learner (primarily Spanish‐speaking) student population. We tested dimensions of the self‐system model of motivational development in a specific academic domain (i.e., social studies). Some relationships found by Skinner and colleagues were supported, whereas others were not. Emotional engagement predicted changes in behavioral engagement and disaffection. The classroom context and students’ self‐perceptions predicted changes in engagement and disaffection. Students’ self‐perceptions also mediated the relation between teacher support and engagement and disaffection. None of these relations were moderated by language status.
