女性主义始终关注社会中人的"性"及"性别"形象问题,坚持挖掘历史文化语境中各种形态的"看"与"被看"的形成及影响。作为日常生活中随处可见、甚至无可回避媒介形式的广告刺激潜在消费诉求的目标群体,深度制造、利用两性消费价值的基本特性自然被纳入女性主义批评领域。通过对广告媒介女性主义研究倾向的回视、及消费主义文化在社会性别领域的深刻影响的反思,必须清楚看到性别意识在不同时代语境下的具体存在始终处于动态进程,随着社会文明程度的不断提高,性别差异固有模式也不断发生变化,作为研究介入路径的女性主义研究方法也必须不断动态拓展视域。     

浅析新闻传播领域中的女性主义

本文以新闻传播领域中的女性主义为主要研究对象,简要叙述了西方女性主义思潮的流变,解释了女性主义与新闻传播学的融合,通过大量例证和理论分析了中国新闻传播学中女性主义研究存在的现状,深入剖析了女性形象被诋毁和女性话语权缺失的事实与原因。同时指出建立两性和谐的媒介世界的必要性。

历史上,翻译研究与女性自身在社会上都曾处于被动和消极地位,这种现状促使女性主义与翻译研究相结合。随着历史的发展和各种理论研究的不断深化,女性主义以翻译为媒介使自己的思想和观点得以发表,逐步提高了女性的地位,也增强了女性主义的影响力,同时其也对翻译理论的研究产生了深远影响。女性主义理论促使翻译研究不断发展,不断完善。     

从"女性主义文学研究"到"性别文学研究"--女性主义文学研究走出困境的思考与对策

本文从女性主义文学批评遇到的种种困惑出发,指出女性主义文学批评混淆了两组关系,一是男性中心话语与男性的关系,一是父权制文化与人类文明的关系。同时指出从“女性主义文学批评”,走向“性别文学批评”,应是一个自然而然的过程;由“女性主义文学研究”,走向“性别文学研究”,应该是女性主义文学批评走出困境的一个良策。     

基于女性主义翻译理论下的译作人物形象再建——以葛浩文《红高粱家族》译本为例

女性主义翻译理论以其操纵、改写源语的特点,为翻译研究提供了新的视角。本文通过对比莫言的代表作《红高粱家族》及其译本,透析了译者葛浩文在翻译过程中使用的女性主义翻译,凭借译者主体性的发挥,再建了更鲜明的人物形象,并凸显了女主人公的觉醒意识。以文本翻译为媒介,让西方世界听见中国女人的声音。     

Is feminism trending? Pedagogical approaches to countering (Sl)activism

As they say in social media, feminism is ‘trending’; feminist conversations, grassroots movements, and activism mark a fourth wave of feminist practice and theory defined by digital spaces. This article considers the effectiveness of using social media as both a course assignment and as a conduit for civic engagement. I analyse survey results of college students who used the blogging platform Tumblr in their Introduction to Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies courses. Data collected from the participant sample indicate that Tumblr users are connected to viewpoints different from their own and are instilled with a sense of activism they wish to incorporate in their offline lives. In conclusion, social media is a promising tool for social justice, feminist, and/or leadership-focused praxis.     

Critical perspectives on youth digital media production: ‘voice’ and representation in educational contexts

This paper offers a critical discussion on voice and representation in youth digital media production in educational settings. The paper builds on existing calls from digital media and visual studies scholars to approach youth-made media with greater attention to context in production practices. In this discussion, the author addresses the importance of technological tools, media genres, settings, and program design in the construction of voice and representation for children and youth making digital media. The paper presents a case study derived from a three-year ethnographic research project and feminist intervention in one under-resourced school in Toronto, Canada. Through the examples presented in this paper, the author presents a critical discussion about the process and content of digital video created by girls making media in particular contexts, under distinct conditions.     

Bristol Palin: the pedagogical media spectacle of a sexual abstinence ambassador

This paper explores the public political media spectacle of Bristol Palin's teenage pregnancy and her status as a single mother through the lens of a critical feminist discourse analysis. The author explores how cultural anxieties over teenage sexuality and unintended pregnancy in America are constructed when the pregnant teen is the daughter of an ambitious politician who is White, upper-middle class, and holds evangelical Christian beliefs. From pregnant teen thrust into the media spotlight by her politically ambitious mother to ambassador of sexual abstinence, the pedagogical media spectacle of Bristol Palin promoting abstinence is unique and can be understood as part of a broader postfeminist media culture in which the articulation of feminist empowerment principles, such as female agency and reproductive choice, is subverted within the neoliberal discourse of personal responsibility and financial independence.     

#Eduresistance: a critical analysis of the role of digital media in collective struggles for public education in the USA

From Facebook-coordinated high-school walkouts to compelling Internet-based protest art that has accompanied recent teacher strikes, grassroots education activism in the USA has gone digital. Despite the proliferation of research on the mediatisation of education policy, few studies have explored the ways in which activists for public education engage with Web 2.0 technologies. This paper makes a contribution to this under-researched area by exploring selected activist accounts including Parents Across America, United Opt Out National, and the PS 2013 campaign in New York City. I draw on critical, feminist, and cultural studies theories of education and social movement media to analyse activist media practices in a policy and political milieu dominated by corporate media and neoliberal governance structures. The analysis reveals that progressive education activists strategically deploy digital media to amplify voice, build collective identity, and disseminate alternative knowledge to enable direct action. A situated analysis also reveals significant differences in activist media practice which are shaped by particular political histories and geographies. The paper concludes with a discussion about future lines of inquiry into the role of digital media in collective struggles for public education.

20世纪下半期美国女性主义神学研究初探

女性主义神学研究的兴起与同一时期的女性主义运动、黑人神学以及拉美解放神学的兴起密切相关。女性主义神学研究的具体内容主要包括对基督教传统的批判和对基督教信仰的重塑,具有一定的积极意义。但女性主义神学研究也存在着过激之处,其在理论上的建树还比较欠缺。

Why All the Counting? Feminist Social Science Research on Children's Literature

This article addresses the question of why counting has figured so prominently in feminist social science studies of children's literature. It documents the quantitative approach to children's books used by both liberal and radical feminists, gives an account of why this approach has been so popular among feminist social scientists, and outlines some of the achievements and limitations of this approach. The article also indicates some reasons why recent, multicultural feminist, social science studies have used a more qualitative approach to children's literature, as well as some reasons to expect that one might count on a greater balance of qualitative and quantitative studies in the future.
