The focus of this paper is on the detection and estimation of parameter faults in nonlinear systems with nonlinear fault distribution functions. The novelty of this contribution is that it handles the nonlinear fault distribution function; since such a fault distribution function depends not only on the inputs and outputs of the system but also on unmeasured states, it causes additional complexity in fault estimation. The proposed detection and estimation tool is based on the adaptive observer technique. Under the Lipschitz condition, a fault detection observer and adaptive diagnosis observer are proposed. Then, relaxation of the Lipschitz requirement is proposed and the necessary modification to the diagnostic tool is presented. Finally, the example of a one-wheel model with lumped friction is presented to illustrate the applicability of the proposed diagnosis method.  相似文献

In this paper, a robust actuator fault diagnosis scheme is investigated for satellite attitude control systems subject to model uncertainties, space disturbance torques and gyro drifts. A nonlinear unknown input observer is designed to detect the occurrence of any actuator fault. Subsequently, a bank of adaptive unknown input observers activated by the detection results are designed to isolate which actuator is faulty and then estimate of the fault parameter. Fault isolation is achieved based on the well known generalized observer strategy. The simulation on a closed-loop satellite control system with time-varying or constant actuator faults in the form of additive and multiplicative unknown dynamics demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed robust fault diagnosis strategy.  相似文献

Detection and estimation of abnormalities for distributed parameter system (DPS) have wide applications in industry, e.g., battery thermal fault diagnosis, quality monitoring of hot-rolled strip laminar cooling process. In this paper, the abnormal spatio-temporal (S-T) source detection and estimation problem for a linear unstable DPS is first studied. The proposed methodology consists of two steps: first, an abnormality detection filter (ADF) which generates a residual signal for abnormality detection in the time domain is constructed using pointwise measurement; Then, an adaptive Luenberger-type PDE observer including an adaptive estimation algorithm is designed and triggered only when an alarm raises from the ADF. Theoretic analysis based on the spatial domain decomposition approach is presented to show the convergence of the estimation errors. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to show the performance of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, the distributed adaptive fault estimation issue using practical fixed-time design is investigated for attitude synchronization control systems. A distributed fault estimation observer is proposed based on the fixed-time technique. Meanwhile, a novel fixed-time adaptive fault estimation algorithm is also constructed to guarantee convergence rate and improve estimation rapidity. The fault estimation error is uniformly ultimately bounded and is practically fixed-time stable, which converges to the neighborhood of the origin in a fixed time. Finally, simulation results of an attitude synchronization control system are presented to verify the effectiveness of proposed techniques.  相似文献

The current work proposes a decentralized adaptive dynamic surface control approach for extracting the maximum power from a photovoltaic (PV) system and then regulating the required voltage for charging the battery. In this regard, two cascaded direct current-direct current (DC-DC) converters are utilized. The boost converter is interposed between the PV system and the load to help extract the maximum power. The buck-boost converter is then exploited to maintain the output voltage at a specified level which must meet the battery demand. Therefore, to handle the interactions between the cascaded converters, a decentralized control approach is developed. In the suggested approach, by introducing a nonlinear filter, an effective dynamic surface control (DSC) scheme is proposed with guaranteeing asymptotic tracking convergence. Further, by incorporating a nonlinear compensation term into the proposed control approach, the robustness of the resulting controller is improved. In addition, since the model of the converters is nonlinear with unknown uncertainties, the neuro-fuzzy system is used to estimate lumped uncertainties. The proposed control method has good attributes in terms of having a low tracking error, an excellent transition response, and a quick response to changes in atmospheric conditions. The stability of the whole control system is proved by the Lyapunov stability theorem. Finally, comprehensive simulation results are performed to validate the effectiveness of the suggested control approach.  相似文献

In this paper, a robust fault tolerant control, which provides a global fixed-time stability, is proposed for robot manipulators. This approach is constructed based on an integration between a fixed-time second-order sliding mode observer (FxTSOSMO) and a fixed-time sliding mode control (FxTSMC) design strategy. First, the FxTSOSMO is developed to estimate the lumped disturbance with a fixed-time convergence. Then, based on the obtained disturbance estimation, the FxTSMC is developed based on a fixed-time sliding surface and a fixed-time reaching strategy to form a global fixed-time convergence of the system. The proposed approach is then applied for fault tolerant control of a PUMA560 robot and compared with other state-of-the-art controllers. The simulation results verify the outstanding fault estimation and fault accommodation capability of the proposed fault diagnosis observer and fault tolerant strategy, respectively.  相似文献

This paper mainly investigates the fault detection problem for nonlinear multi-agent systems with actuator faults. For fault detection, a fixed-time observer is proposed by employing auxiliary variable received from neighbor agents. Then, with the aid of the observer, a residual vector is introduced by the auxiliary variable to detect the faults occurring on any followers, and each observer can estimate the whole state of followers. Moreover, the convergence time is dependent on the parameters of the designed observer and independent of initial condition of system state. Finally, the theoretical result is verified by a simulation example.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new sliding mode observer for fault reconstruction, applicable for a class of linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. Observer schemes for actuator and sensor fault reconstruction are presented. For the actuator fault reconstruction scheme, a virtual system comprising the system matrix and a fixed input distribution matrix is used for the design of the observer. The fixed input distribution matrix is instrumental in simplifying the synthesis procedure to create the observer gains to ensure a stable closed-loop reduced order sliding motion. The ‘output error injection signals’ from the observer are used as the basis for reconstructing the fault signals. For the sensor fault observer design, augmenting the LPV system with a filtered version of the faulty measurements allows the sensor fault reconstruction problem to be posed as an actuator fault reconstruction scenario. Simulation tests based on a high-fidelity nonlinear model of a transport aircraft have been used to demonstrate the proposed actuator and sensor FDI schemes. The simulation results show their efficacy.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of active fault tolerant control for a reusable launch vehicle (RLV) with actuator fault using both adaptive and sliding mode techniques is investigated. Firstly, the kinematic equations and dynamic equations of RLV are given, which represent the characteristics of RLV in reentry flight phase. For the dynamic model of RLV in faulty case, a fault detection scheme is proposed by designing a nonlinear fault detection observer. Then, an active fault tolerant tracking strategy for RLV attitude control systems is presented by making use of both adaptive control and sliding mode control techniques, which can guarantee the asymptotic output tracking of the closed-loop attitude control systems in spite of actuator fault. Finally, simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed fault tolerant control scheme.  相似文献

This paper investigates the fault detectability issue for linear systems within a set-based framework. A set-based fault detectability analysis method is developed based on the geometric approach-based fault detection observer and zonotopes. Three concepts of fault detectability are established according to the relationship between the observer output sets in the presence and absence of faults. Necessary and sufficient conditions are derived corresponding to different detectability concepts. It can be found that the obtained conditions are related to system inputs in open-loop systems and system controllers in closed-loop systems. The impact of both system inputs and system controllers on fault detectability is analyzed. A numerical simulation is presented to illustrate the validity of the conclusions.  相似文献

In the paper, a distributed sensor fault detection and isolation scheme is presented for a network of second-order integrators. A new distributed control law is developed to achieve formation of the system. By using the integration information of distributed formation errors, the control law improves the robustness of the formation. A distributed observer is then designed in each vehicle based on the closed-loop dynamic model of the vehicle. Each vehicle updates the states of the distributed observer by employing the measurements of itself and the transmitted state estimations from its neighbors. Based on the distributed observer, a distributed fault detection observer and a distributed fault isolation observer are designed. The presented distributed fault detection observer in each vehicle is able to be sensitive to the faults of all vehicles in the system. By using the distributed fault isolation observers, each vehicle is able to be sensitive to the faults of itself, its neighbors and its neighbors’ neighbors and to be robust to the faults of other vehicles. Although the fault isolation of the proposed scheme is simple, computation loads of the scheme are lower than the current ones since only the model of the individual vehicle is used. Finally, the effectiveness of the control law and the fault diagnosis scheme is demonstrated by simulations and real-time experiments carried out based on a formation of three quadrotors.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a fault diagnosis (FD) approach for a class of nonlinear uncertain systems based on the deterministic learning approach (DLA). Specifically, an adaptive learning observer is constructed, in which the adaptive neural networks (NNs) are constructed to approximate the unknown system dynamics under normal and fault modes. Based on the strictly positive real (SPR) condition, the convergence of the state estimation can be guaranteed. When the system is undergoing a periodic or periodic-like (recurrent) motion, the states of the observer will also become recurrent. Thus through DLA, the partial persistent excitation (PE) condition of the associated subvectors of NNs is satisfied. By utilizing the partial (PE) condition, the uniformly completely observable (UCO) property of the identification system is analyzed and the exponential convergence condition of the identification system is derived. Under this condition, the unknown dynamics under normal and fault modes can be accurately identified along the system trajectory. And by utilizing the knowledge obtained in the identification phase, the fault can be detected in the diagnosis phase. The main attraction of this paper lies in the analytical result, which shows that the exponential convergence condition of the learning observer not only depends on the observer gain matrix, but also depends on the PE level of the regressor subvector of NN. Simulation results are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

An evolutionary programming-based adaptive observer is presented in this paper to improve the performance of state estimation of nonlinear time-varying sampled-data systems. Also, this paper presents a novel state-space adaptive tracker together with the proposed observer and estimation schemes for nonlinear time-varying sampled-data systems having actuator failures. For the class of slowly varying nonlinear time-varying systems, the proposed methodology is able to achieve the desired fault detection and performance recovery for the originally well-designed systems, as long as the controller having the high-gain property. For practical implementation, we utilize the advantages of digital redesign methodology to convert a well-designed high-gain analog controller/observer into its corresponding low-gain digital controller/observer. Illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The developed digitally redesigned adaptive tracker with the proposed observer and estimator is suitable for implementation by using microprocessors.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with integrated event-triggered fault estimation (FE) and sliding mode fault-tolerant control (FTC) for a class of discrete-time Lipschtiz nonlinear networked control systems (NCSs) subject to actuator fault and disturbance. First, an event-triggered fault/state observer is designed to estimate the system state and actuator fault simultaneously. And then, a discrete-time sliding surface is constructed in state-estimation space. By the use of a reformulated Lipschitz property and delay system analysis method, the sliding mode dynamics and state/fault error dynamics are converted into a unified linear parameter varying (LPV) networked system model by taking into account the event-triggered scheme, actuator fault, external disturbance and network-induced delay. Based on this model and with the aid of Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method, a delay-dependent sufficient condition is derived to guarantee the stability of the resulting closed-loop system with prescribed H performance. Furthermore, an observed-based sliding mode FTC law is synthesized to make sure the reachability of the sliding surface. Finally, simulation results are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, a composite fault tolerant control (CFTC) with disturbance observer scheme is considered for a class of stochastic systems with faults and multiple disturbances. The disturbances are divided into two parts. One represents the stochastic disturbance with partial known information which is formulated by an exogenous system. The other is independent Wiener process. A stochastic disturbance observer is designed to estimate exogenous disturbance. To make the first type of disturbance can be rejected and the fault can be diagnosed, a composite fault diagnosis observer with disturbance observer is constructed. Furthermore, a composite fault-tolerant controller is proposed to compensate disturbances and faults. Finally, simulation examples are given to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the event-triggered fault estimation and fault-tolerant control for continuous-time dynamic systems subject to system fault and external disturbance under network environment. Firstly, based on the event-triggered sampling, a fault diagnosis observer is constructed to estimate both the system state and the system fault simultaneously, and a multi-objective constraint is established to guarantee the estimation accuracy. Based on the estimated system state and fault signal, a fault-tolerant controller is proposed to compensate the influence of occurred faults and maintain the system performance. The event-triggered scheme and the fault-tolerant controller are co-designed to guarantee the required performance of faulty system and reduce the consumption of communication resources. Finally, simulation results of an F-404 aircraft engine system are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

A novel interval observer filtering-based fault diagnosis method for linear discrete-time systems with dual uncertainties is proposed to detect actuator faults. The idea of minimization is adopted to design a fault-free state estimator by merging unknown but bounded and Gaussian disturbances and noises according to the signal average power principle. Using a fault-free state interval and measurement residual of the system, a fault detection indicator is designed based on the residual probability ratio, to achieve dynamic fault detection, isolation and identification. Finally, various simulation examples are provided to demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of adaptive fault estimation and fault-tolerant control for a class of nonlinear non-Gaussian stochastic systems subject to time-varying loss of control effectiveness faults. In this work, time-varying faults, Lipschitz nonlinear property and general stochastic characteristics are taken into consideration in a unified framework. Instead of using the system output signal, the output distribution is adopted for shape control. Both the states and faults are simultaneously estimated by an adaptive observer. Then, a fault tolerant shape controller is designed to compensate for the faults and realize stochastic output distribution tracking. Both the fault estimation and the fault tolerant control schemes are designed based on linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. Satisfactory performance has been obtained for a numerical simulation example. Furthermore the proposed scheme is successfully tested in a case study of particle size distribution control for an emulsion polymerization reactor.  相似文献
