Transformational Partnerships: A New Agenda for Higher Education

In this article we develop the concept of transformational partnership and illustrate how such an understanding has enriched the relationship between a particular university and a school system. Transformational partnerships are different in purpose, nature, and strategies from transactional partnerships. They are based upon genuine engagement and a focus on common goals and mutual benefits. In transactional partnerships each institution pursues its own goals with little consideration of mutual goals or shared purpose. The areas of community engagement, leadership, and transformational partnerships provided key concepts for analysing the case study showing how higher education institutions can think and work differently with other institutions, organizations, and groups to achieve mutual benefits.     

Feminist Issues in Built Environment Education

In this paper I argue for a feminist perspective as a basis on which to restructure built environment education. The paper is divided into two parts: first I will present certain issues in the literature on women and urban structure as a rationale for including women's issues in built environment education, and second, I will argue the problem - that built environment education lacks gender equitable curriculum.     

新媒体环境下高校研究生党员思想教育的对策

文章分析了在新媒体时代,高校研究生党员思想教育面临的宝贵机遇和严峻挑战,指出新媒体技术扩宽教育的广度和深度、提高教育的实效性、提升教育者的综合素质,但是也冲击传统教育方式的主导地位、使传统的既定教育模式面临挑战、受污染的教育环境难以净化,在此基础上,文章指出要用全局的观念指导工作、运用"与时俱进"的工作方法和构建"以人为本"的工作机制来多维度地提高研究生党员思想教育的实效性。     

议程设置:新媒体环境下大学生思想政治教育有效性探析

议程设置,作为一种全新的、有效的大学生思想政治教育机制,将大学生思想政治教育置于一种社会发展的大背景下,从理念、模式、内容三方面对大学生思想政治教育进行创新:树立网络时代高校思想政治教育理念;构建研究生思想政治教育教学互动平台,利用互联网技术,实现网上与网下、教与学、学与思、主导性与创造性的结合;拓展与创新研究生思想政治理论课程教学内容,把课题与社会、案例分析与社会现状、释疑解惑与思想政治教育有机结合。     

面向群体智能塑造未来教育:一项重要研究课题

群体智能指群体在完成一系列不同任务时表现出的综合能力,是面向未来复杂情境中跨学科、综合型任务解决过程必不可少的关键要素。教育现代化进程中的群体智能教育是面向未来培养公民信息素养、合作能力、问题解决能力的重要载体和实现目标。文章基于当前研究领域中对群体智能基本概念的辨析和探索,从国际视野出发,剖析基于不同的技术手段对群体智能教育的探索和实践,提出教育信息化时代中国教育领域中进一步强化群体智能教育、推动"五育并举"、促进培养复合型人才的可行路径。     

Introduction: Commercialization of Academic Science and a New Agenda for Science Education

Certain segments of science are becoming increasingly commercialized. This article discusses the commercialization of academic science and its impact on various aspects of science. It also aims to provide an introduction to the articles in this special issue. I briefly describe the major factors that led to this phenomenon, situate it in the context of the changing social regime of science and give a thumbnail sketch of its costs and benefits. I close with a general discussion of how the topic of commercialization of academic science is relevant to science education.     

城市发展与环境:高等教育的任务

早上好。我是东京大学校长小宫山宏。很荣幸参加复旦大学的百年庆典。在这样的场合,提出城市和高等教育相互关系这样的话题再合适不过了。虽然城市的可持续性发展的话题已经成为世界范围内的兴趣热点,但高等教育在社会中的作用还是受到诸多质疑。在此专题讨论会中,我想就高等教育如何促进城市和环境的发展进行论述。

Millennia1 Expectations: Creating a New Service Agenda in Higher Education

In his 1995 NAPEHE keynote address, the late Ernest Boyer laid out a new vision of scholarship—one that allows for a much more powerful and effective academic-civic dialogue. Since then, the service movement that began gathering momentum in the early 1990s has only continued to grow. Sponsoring both faculty professional service and student-mediated efforts, academic institutions across the country are finding new value in community engagement. That engagement, in turn, has highlighted many important questions about the way in which academics go about their work. Nowhere would the fit between the emerging service agenda and disciplinary interests seem to be more natural than in the area of physical educatio

当前,我国社区建设和社区工作在社会发展与社会管理中的地位及作用已日益突出。而如何更好地利用社区教育资源,为儿童全面健康发展提供服务和保障,是教育学界研究的重点和热点,由此,文章主要概述新形势下社区教育的内涵、功能、作用及实施途径,以期能对我国社区教育予以借鉴。

围绕人类学习,整合心理学、认知科学、教育学、计算机科学等领域的研究成果,从不同学科视角对人类学习进行全方位研究,催生了一个全新的、跨学科的研究领域——学习科学."学习科学新进展"系列论文以国外学习科学主要领域研究的新进展为核心,系统梳理和把握国外学习科学研究最新成就,以期为我国教育改革与发展提供思想给养.本文系此系列论文的开篇,重点就学习科学的本质与使命、学习科学的发展演变、研究取向及主要实践领域等问题进行深入分析,并就系列论文的设计与安排进行介绍,最后论述了利用学习科学与技术变革教育的意义与价值.     

Graduate Study of Teaching and Teacher Education: A Problem-Solving Agenda for the PETE Professorate

This paper offers ideas for graduate study in physical education teacher education (PETE). It discusses professional versus scientific degree options, and argues that pedagokinetics (the art and science of teaching movement) should be the central focus of the curriculum for both practitioners and researchers. To overcome major obstacles to academic excellence, a problem-solving agenda is outlined for the PETE professorate, with emphasis on critical issues such as (a) governance and control of teacher education, (b) the proper location of PETE units at educational institutions, (c) regional networks of research universities, undergraduate colleges, and local school districts, (d) faculty competence and differential graduate orientations, (e) the shortage of exemplary teachers and teaching in physical education, (f) recruitment of bright graduate students for PETE, and (g) cultivation of a knowledge base to support practice and research in pedagogical physical education. In addition, the paper reports on a new generation of scholars at work, for over a decade, to increase PETE'S credibility with other physical education disciplines as well as the generic teacher education enterprise.
