March 5, 2008 marked the 110th anniversary of late Premier Zhou Enlai＇s 110th birth anniversary. Zhou Enlai was a great Marxist and outstanding revolutionary. As a major member of the first generation of the leadership of Chinese Communist Party and the People＇s Republic of China, he devoted all his life to his beloved motherland and people. He enjoyed widespread respect among Chinese people of all ethnic groups and his lofty spirit and personality have been considered valuable assets in the history of Chinese nation. Beijing Olympics-Themed Gala Stages in Hollywood

On March 3, just before the Chinese Lantern Festival, some 500 performers from Beijing staged a large paradein the Hollywood Boulevard in an ettort to snowcase traditional Chinese culture to the American public and promote the 2008 summer Olympics,which will be held in Beijing next year. The parade, as part of the cultural event entitled “Experience Beijing Culture in Los Angeles”, attracted much local media coverage. Holy Mountain Embraces International Cultural Gala

From October 28 to 30, 2006 Taishan International Congress of Culture ＆ 1st Taishan Poetry Festival, co-organized by Center of International Cultural Exchange （CICE） and Tai＇an Municipal Government, took place in Taishan Mountain, venerated as ＂the most superior among the five sacred mountains in China＂. Dragon-horse Show Staged to Celebrate China- France Friendship

On October 17, a unique show of mechanical dragon-horse was unveiled at the Olympic Park in Beijing in celebration of the 50th anniversary of China-France dip-lomatic relations. The three-day event teatures an eight-act performance, with each act lasting one and half hours. On the first day, the dragon-horse and the spider came to life to appear in the Olympic venue. the two mythical each other when On the second day, beasts fought against the spider set a trap in an attempt to capture the drag- on-horse.     

Books Released to Celebrate Anniversary of China-France Relations
