工作表中的数据,既枯燥又繁多,很难显示出数据的变化和差异,这时就需要利用相关的数据创建图表,从而直观地表达数据间的变化和差异。让学生体验Excel图表功能在生活各个领域中的应用,从而达到理论联系实际、知识应用于生活的目标。     

Excel中的数据保护设置

保护好工作表中的数据是每个使用Excel用户都关心的问题，工作表中的数据越多，校对就越烦琐。为减少和避免输入、计算、查阅过程中的错误操作，可根据工作表中每列数据所具有的共同特性，利用IF函数进行安全设置。     

居中打印Excel工作表

当一张Excel工作表中数据区域较小时,我们可以使工作表中的数据居中打印在纸张上,操作方法如下: 1.单击要居中打印的工作表。2.单击[文件]菜单中的[页面设置],再单击[页边距]选项卡。     

Excel二则

“单元格引用”用来代表工作表的单元格或单元格区域,并指明公式中所使用的数据的位置。通过单元格引用,可以在公式中使用工作表不同部分的数据,或者在多个公式中使用同一单元格或区域的数据。还可以引用同一个工作簿不同工作表的单元格或区域、不同工作簿的单元格或区域、甚至其他应用程序中的数据。     

Excel中巧用函数实现数据的灵活调用

Introducing Artificial Neural Networks through a Spreadsheet Model

Business students taking data mining classes are often introduced to artificial neural networks (ANN) through point and click navigation exercises in application software. Even if correct outcomes are obtained, students frequently do not obtain a thorough understanding of ANN processes. This spreadsheet model was created to illuminate the roles of the following ANN parameters: weights, learning rates, threshold functions, and transformation functions. The spreadsheet ANN model project is given early in the semester, just after ANN is introduced. Students can see effects of ANN parameters as they make changes to spreadsheet model inputs, greatly enhancing discussion of ANN processes. After working with the spreadsheet model, students have expressed an appreciation for decisions based on patterns of historic data, and they like the ability to peek “behind the curtain” at processes of predictive software packages.     

乙酸乙酯皂化实验数据的处理方法

Estimating post-secondary student flow with limited data

Strategic planning in higher education requires access to reasonable enrollment forecasts as provided by the model described in this article. Higher education has sparse retention data, and the situation forces certain known constraints on retention rates. The model presented combines a polynomial lag econometric model with a goal programming model to satisfy the known conditions while making efficient use of limited data. The model is applied to data for a large public university. A spreadsheet template for the model is available from the authors.     

Factors Affecting the Ability to Detect Spreadsheet Errors

The extensive computational and formatting capabilities of today's spreadsheets enable users to create sophisticated analytical models with professionally formatted outputs. But good‐looking reports can mask a host of input errors, formula mistakes, and computational problems. This article examines the subject of spreadsheet error detection in detail and describes an experiment designed to identify those factors influencing the error‐detection capabilities of a sample of spreadsheet users.     

An Assessment of Statistical Process Control-Based Approaches for Charting Student Evaluation Scores

We compare three control charts for monitoring data from student evaluations of teaching (SET) with the goal of improving student satisfaction with teaching performance. The two charts that we propose are a modified p chart and a z‐score chart. We show that these charts overcome some of the shortcomings of the more traditional charts for analyzing SET data. A comparison of three charts (an individuals chart, the modified p chart, and the z‐score chart) reveals that the modified p chart is the best approach for analyzing SET data because it utilizes distributions that are appropriate for categorical data, and its interpretation is more straightforward. We conclude that administrators and faculty alike can benefit by using the modified p chart to monitor and improve teaching performance as measured by student evaluations.
