Some main effective reading strategies

Reading becomes more and more important in English learning in recent days.If we want to read efficiently,there are a lot of strategies for us to use when read.We can make predictions before reading a passage.When we read,we can read in a sense group.If we do not know the word when we read,we can guess the meaning of the word through the roots,the prefixes,the suffixes.In a word,having lots of practice with suitable reading strategies can enable us to improve our English reading skills.

I’ve been saving money for a new guitar.It took me over a year,but now I have enough to buy the one I want.Nothside Music has a Pindari Super Twanger on sale this week and I'm going to buy one tomorrow.I can hardly wait! I think the guitar is really going to help the sound of our band.We call the band Skinny Dog because of the skinny dog that lives near our practice hall.Our band sounds very good now.Mr Walton,the music teacher,heard us practicing today at school,and he came in to listen for a while.He seemed to enjoy it.When we finished,he said we should try to have a gig at a party or something.

Pets are wonderful creatures! I had my first when I was just a little boy;a hamster called Cloudy. He was a very talented escape artist, and figured out how to open the door of his cage. A Little Dog

When I was ten years old, a little dog called Xueqiu came into my life as a birthday present. It was a pretty dog with long white hair. And the hair felt very soft.
