新媒体在高校辅导员爱国主义教育中的应用研究

随着互联网的发展,青年一代的成长环境发生了很大变化,他们的注意力转移到了互联网;当前传统的爱国主义教育力量是非常单薄的,存在着关注度较少、参与度不高、总体教育效果较差现状,不能有效地吸引学生的眼球和引领爱国主义思想主流;因此,高校辅导员需要通过方式和方法上的创新,充分利用网络平台和网络资源开展爱国主义教育活动,加强爱国主义校园文化网络舆论阵地建设,达到对青年一代的爱国主义思想引领作用。     

新时代大学何以开启高质量发展之道

在教育部召开的新时代全国高等学校本科教育工作会议上,教育部部长一句"快乐的大学"在坊间引起热议。所谓"快乐的大学"其实就是"轻松的大学",从表面上看,"轻松的大学"反映了大学生在虚度光阴;但从本质上看,"轻松的大学"却折射出大学面临质量误区。新时代大学应走出质量误区,迈上高质量发展之道。具体而言,大学首先需要认识自身陷入的质量误区;其次需要深刻反思质量误区并树立以创新人才培养为宗旨的创新的质量观;最后需要以创新的质量观为引领,从直接影响教育质量的人才培养模式、教学改革宗旨、学科建设制度、科学研究机制、教师队伍建设与教师评价标准六个方面创新教育教学体制机制。     

以科研促教学 努力创建创新型大学

21世纪是知识经济时代,知识经济的本质是创新.知识经济的兴起,要求大学必须将创新作为新的理念和新的驱动力,重新审视自己的功能和定位,于是,创新型大学的理念也应运而生.     

An output comparison of open university and conventional university students

Previous economic studies of the Open University have concentrated on the cost side; this paper looks at the output of the Open University compared to conventional universities. In 1976 multiple choice questions were included in the two second level economics examination papers (D222 and D282); norming data for these questions had already been generated for thousands of university students from 1970 to 1973 during the course of the Economics Education project. The findings show that OU students score at the same level as first year conventional university students in microeconomics, and score significantly higher than third year CU students in macroeconomics. To check whether the favourable performance of OU students was due to being “test-wise” in multiple choice questions, two essay questions from the 1976 Open University D282 paper were set in a conventional university and a “blind” marking exercise was carried out. The result indicated that OU students performed at least as well as their CU counterparts. Further tests were carried out to check on the effect of students previously having taken OU economics courses and whether OU economics students are representative of all students.     

新媒体时代高校大学生网络安全教育研究

在新媒体发展背景下,我国互联网产业和网路应用技术取得了突出的进步,高校大学生是比较活跃的群体,容易受到网络的影响。因此实践教学阶段必须突破现有网络发展的限制,提出有效的安全管理对策,做好安全教育工作。本次研究中以高校大学生网络安全教育的必要性为基础,结合具体情况,对如何做好安全教育进行分析。     

Towards a public policy for the research university in Portugal

Following a model that conceptualizes the functioning of the university, a set of principles to define a public funding methodology for the research universities is proposed, within the context of the Portuguese higher education system. This set of principles is presented on the basis of the analysis of the contemporary mission of the university, giving particular relevance to the research activities that are developed at universities. The positioning of research universities in the science and technology system is valorized, and the set of principles aims at contributing to develop a science policy that gives to the university the relevant role that is required in the emerging knowledge-driven economies.     

Curriculum studies at the open university

ABSTRACT

Widening participation – though it has only recently been labelled as such – has been a continuing concern for policy makers and higher education institutions in the United Kingdom since 1945 (and before). This article reviews the evidence for four key target groups – women, lower socio-economic groups, mature adults and ethnic minorities – to produce an overall assessment, a score card, of what has been achieved, and what remains to be done. It concludes that, while progress in the recruitment of women, mature adults and ethnic minorities has been substantial – though with some qualifications – it has been much less so for lower socio-economic groups.

The student-centered research university

After definition and explanation of the concept of the student-centered research university, the idea of the student-centered course is explained. Finally, faculty concerns about this model are discussed.These remarks were first presented at the Academic Affairs Faculty Symposium at the University of Georgia in 1994.Gershon Vincow is the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Syracuse University. He received the Ph.D. from Columbia University in Chemistry, also the field of his M.A. and A.B. degrees. He has taught and conducted research in physical chemistry, and his current particular interest is issues of renewal in higher education with emphasis on student-centered and learning-centered approaches.
