How to Improve Spoken English Teaching through Role play in College Schools in China

In the present competitive society, English becomes more and more important, and how to master English becomes one popular topic for everyone. English is a communicative tool, however, traditional teaching method used in English teaching is not very suitable, and the traditional teaching is very boring and inefficient. The traditional teaching does not give students a real world situation to practice their English speaking and it does not cultivate their learning interests. This phenomenon continued in the students English learning for many years, and students can not use the English to communicate in their daily life. This phenomenon appears in oral English teaching in college schools as well, In order to solve the problems, the paper firstly describes the problem of English spoken teaching in college schools in Chi na. And then it analyzes the performance of problem and the cause of problems. The aim is that we find the problem and deficiency of Eng lish spoken teaching in college schools and use Role play as an effective way to solve these problems. Moreover, how to uses the role play specifically in the spoken English teaching, So that the role play can help teacher change traditional teaching method, enhance students’ oral communication ability, cultivate the students’learning interests and improve spoken English teaching in colleges.     

A Case Study of Cooperation between Reading and Writing

The current study is concerned with the integration of English reading and writing in a program which is delivered jointly by Henan University(HU) in Kaifeng and Victoria University(VU) in Melbourne.Currently,English writing and reading have irrelevant teaching contents.In order to make better use the Chinese and Australian teachers’ English expertise to enhance students’ English proficiency in the joint program,VU and HU initiated this case study of coordination and cooperation at a curriculum and delivery planning level for reading and writing.By analyzing research data,this paper aims to measure the effectiveness of integration of writing and reading,to identify students’ acceptance of the collaboration of writing and reading and also to explore alternative ways of designing the teaching materials in an Australia-China English course.The main findings of the research project relate to student confidence,knowledge,motivation which are greatly improved when reading and writing materials are closely-related;trial groups’ writing proficiency showed twice greater improvement than that of control group;integration of reading and writing better uses Australian and Chinese teachers’ English expertise;over 90% of the students comment that the specially-designed materials are useful and would like to continue learning in this way if possible.     

Analysis on the Strategies for the Autonomous Development of English Teachers in High Schools

The professional development of English teachers in high schools is not only a hot focus of teachers’ education, but also an important turning point in the students’ English learning. English teachers are constantly improving their own personal quality and teaching effect under their autonomous development model and goal. It is necessary for English teachers in high schools to rethink and change their own teaching methods, transform the educational ideas, and make educational methods innovative. Meanwhile, they are required to continuously improve their own teaching practice ability. Thus, development and innovation can be unceasingly sought by them in the process of thinking, criticizing, and denying. In addition, the autonomous factors restricting the continuous professional development must be changed. In this paper, the strategies for the autonomous development of English teachers in high schools are discussed according to the requirements for the professional development so as to produce profound significance to the sustainable development of the teachers.     

A Short Discussion on How to Use Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) to Improve Speaking Competence

Though China’s present situation in English language teaching is quite favorable,some problems are still very outstanding.It seems that the communicative competence of Chinese students is not that satisfactory.The Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) approach,which regards"communicative competence"as the goal of language teaching,is becoming more and more popular in China’s English language teaching.This paper shows that the CLT approach does work in improving students’ communicative competence to some degree,through reviewing relevant literature on this approach.However,it is not a panacea to solve all the problems occurring in students’ communicative competence for it also has some weak points.Several suggestions were proposed to enhance students’ grammatical competence as well as the communicative block due to cultural differences.It is also advisable for teachers to be as flexible as possible in choosing the teaching techniques and adding whichever input needed to effectively achieve the main goal of making students both grammatically accurate and communicatively proficient.     

How to Provide“Scaffold”in Reading for Secondary Vocational School Students

At present, the common problem in English teaching of middle schools is that students lack of good oral communication skills. Resistant agency in German lessons in primary education in Germany

This paper aims to research practices of resistance as an important part of agency in primary school classrooms. By combining a post-structural theoretical frame with a critical ethnographic research approach, it understands children’s resistance as an ordinary practice, as a necessary response to structures and practices of the classroom setting. It argues that agency needs to be resistant to some extent, because otherwise it would be merely submission or adaptation. How agency can emerge depends on the social position of the student, which influences the way in which she or he is able to anticipate (more or less implicitly) spaces for resistant agency and also how he or she is addressed in the classroom and beyond. An ethnographic case study of German lessons in a third-grade primary class in a German school shows how resistant agency manifests and how it might be restricted when it comes to racialised subject-positions in the classroom.

Many educational theoretical approaches to cosmopolitanism tend towards an unconditional appreciation of mobility, diversity and rootlessness. The recent interest of educational philosophy in the rhizome, de-territorialization and diversity contributes to this understanding of cosmopolitanism as movement across a borderless and imperfect world. Without downplaying such insights (and related political education), this article displaces and de-temporalizes them. It takes the form of a parody of the rhizome to view those insights from a different perspective and make them strike a different pedagogical note.     

OTO模式在我国中小城市应用的探索

OTO作为一种新的电商模式在各大城市出现,对零售业产生了很大影响。文章对国内外OTO研究进行了梳理：国外对电商的研究比较深入、系统,也较为广泛,在技术应用方面也更加成熟和市场化;国内关于电商的研究更多的是产业模式的创新、实践创新或产业纵深拓展等应用型研究,但对数据挖掘和技术创新的研究落后于实际技术的应用。零售业走电子商务的道路是必然选择,但网络技术与理念落后、市场供需分散、专业人才匮乏等问题的存在表明对中小城市发展OTO模式还是一个挑战。     

英汉翻译中的"貌离"与"神合"现象

英汉翻译最终是要追求两种语言对同一认识内容在内在本质上相通、相合的表达,这固然需要语言外在形式上的契合,然而由于两种语言自然构成和文化系统上的差别,达到其内在本质上相符的"神合"境界,必须以一定程度上语言外在形式的背离为条件.以"貌离"的方式达到"神合",是英汉翻译中不可避免的现象.     

山东兖州兴隆塔地宫出土遗物与新疆于阗佛教关系考

文章就山东兖州兴隆塔地宫出土遗物中的“安葬舍利碑”、鎏金银棺和石函上的图像进行了研究后,指出碑文中所说的于阗法藏法师可能是于闽王族;其赴“西天”取“世尊金顶骨真身舍利”,云游峨眉、五台,并因“恋皇帝化风．不归本处”的时代正值喀喇汗王朝进攻于阗的战争中,碑文中的“西天”可能是指于阗或疏勒等新疆地区。鎏金银棺上的“华严三圣”和阿修罗图像反映了中古于阗佛教的信仰,是受法藏的影响。鎏金银棺、石函上的涅柴经变图和龟兹石窟壁画不完全相同,是依据大乘经典錾刻的,但图像中的“魔王众”值得我们借鉴。
