Differences in Suicidal Experiences of Male and Female Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Differences in the suicidal experiences of males and females and of undergraduate and graduate students have not been thoroughly explored. Furthermore, given the changing dynamics of college student suicidality and the challenges of suicide prevention, it is important to continue updating the research in this area. This article presents findings from a 2006 national survey with responses from over 26,000 undergraduate and graduate students at 70 colleges and universities. Gender and undergraduate versus graduate student differences were found in suicidal thoughts and behaviors, related experiences such as professional and informal help-seeking during a suicidal crisis, events that precipitated and contributed to the suicidal crisis, and factors that protected against attempting suicide. Among the many findings, some are consistent with previous research, some are unexpected, and some have not previously been studied. The results of this survey have implications for targeting specific interventions to better meet the needs of undergraduate and graduate student males and females.

反刍思维影响自杀意念:理论支撑及作用机制

自杀意念指个体想要自杀的想法,对自杀意念影响因素的考察将有利于在认知上控制自杀风险。反刍思维作为一种沉浸式的认知反应方式,是探讨自杀意念产生与发展的新切入点。反应风格理论、自杀人际关系理论、自杀认知模型和动机-意志整合模型都能为反刍思维影响自杀意念提供理论支撑。未来除需要加深对二者行为作用机制的探讨外,还应增加追踪、对照研究设计和认知神经机制层面的探索,并加强反刍思维之于个体积极意义的考察。     

Protective Factors as Predictors of Suicide Risk Among Graduate Students

The purpose of this study was to examine protective factors as predictors of suicide risk among graduate students (n = 413) at a large midwestern university. Using binary logistic regression, the authors assigned students to risk classifications (i.e., nonrisk group or suicide risk group). Results indicated emotional stability as the strongest predictor for participants’ placement into the nonrisk or suicide risk group. The authors discuss implications for counselors and directors of college counseling centers, as well as directions for future research.

插话行为是大学生交流中常见的言语行为,其功能各不相同。研究主要从表示异议、改变话题、推进谈话、表示赞同等四个方面,研究男女大学生在同性会话与异性会话中使用插话功能的性别差异。研究结果表明:在同性会话中,男生与女生在使用插话的动因上存在明显的差异;而在异性会话中,双方表现出更大的相似性。     

对大学生自杀意念影响因素的梳理

目的:探讨大学生自杀意念产生的影响因素,从而为更好地预防大学生自杀事件的发生提供帮助。方法:在维普数据库中,以大学生、自杀意念作为关键词,搜索相关文献,进行文献综述。结果:判断自杀意念的标准不一致,测查自杀意念的时间段存在区别;自杀意念的影响因素包括:抑郁、人格特征、心理健康、应激等;自杀意念相关影响因素的研究欠缺,各因素之间交互作用的探讨等。     

青少年压力性生活事件、应对效能与自杀意念的关系

目的:考察压力性生活事件与青少年自杀意念的关系,以及应对效能在其中的补偿、中介和调节效应.方法:采用青少年压力性生活事件问卷、应对效能量表和自杀意念问卷对1217名青少年进行调查.结果:(1)压力性生活事件与青少年自杀意念显著正相关;(2)应对效能在压力性生活事件与自杀意念之间同时存在补偿、中介和调节效应.结论:应对效能可以有效地部分阻抗、中介和缓冲压力性生活事件对青少年自杀意念的作用.     

服刑人员社会支持、抑郁状态与自杀意念关系研究

采用社会支持、抑郁与自杀意念问卷对200名男性服刑人员进行调查,以探讨服刑人员社会支持、抑郁与自杀意念的关系。结果显示:(1)在自杀意念上,服刑人员总体上保持中立,社会支持程度较低,抑郁程度中等;(2)有无配偶及狱前职业状况对社会支持、抑郁及自杀意念有显著影响,年龄及文化程度对三者影响都不显著;(3)抑郁与自杀意念和社会支持都存在显著相关,社会支持只与对自杀者家属的态度存在显著相关;(4可以通过社会支持来预测的抑郁程度及通过抑郁程度来预测自杀意念。     

Mood States as Predictors of Characteristics and Precipitants of Suicidality Among College Students

This article examines college students' self-reported mood states during a suicidal crisis and the relationship between mood and indicators of suicidality. Multilevel modeling demonstrated that the moods of hopelessness and anger predicted stronger intent; anxiety/worry predicted weaker thoughts of suicide; hopelessness increased the odds of receiving professional help, having a specific plan, and having contemplated methods; and guilt decreased the odds of having made preparations for an attempt. The associations between mood and precipitants of suicidal ideation are presented. Implications of these findings for increasing collaboration during the course of risk assessment and treatment are also discussed.

不同的性别有着自身不同的性别文化，男性和女性按照各自的性别文化规则来规范自己的交际行为。在网络这个虚拟空间，男性和女性的交际与面对面交际一样反映出根深蒂固的性别文化差异。笔者尝试从男性与女性在网络交际与面对面交际中的文化差异、男性与女性网络交际的风格及网络交际道德规范等方面探讨网络交际的性别文化差异，并针对网络交际中出现的性骚扰等现象提出一些看法。

为探讨一般两性交往质量与性别角色的关系,从Bem提出的性别角色模式出发,利用钱铭怡主持编制的大学生性别角色量表（CSRI）和自编的大学生一般两性交往质量量表对在校大学生进行测试。结果显示．自编的一般两性交往质量量表具有较高的信效度;各性别角色类型在一般两性交往各维度上均存在显著差异,男性化被试在一般两性交往各维度上都显著高于女性化和未分化;男性化、女性化、未分化均与一般两性交往存在显著的相关;其中,男性化和双性化化对一般两性交往都有显著的预测作用。
