呈现时代的影像——侧论贾樟柯电影现实主义艺术特色

上个世纪90年代以来，中国电影出现了年轻的一代，即所谓的“新生代”。其中最能体现个体写作与生存困境并在体制外制片领域取得重大突破和广泛影响的是贾樟柯。贾樟柯编导的“故乡三部曲”及《世界》等，均以20世纪70年代末期以来的历史和现实变迁为素材,倾心观照各类小人物的日常生活及其生存境遇,在颇具写实特征的叙事和影像中。展现世纪转折时期的中国一隅及其历史一瞬。     

A Review of Contemporary Tibetan Painting （Part Two）

Wutun School, while influenced by world art, is having growing impact on the development of world art, which reflects its most prominent characteristics in the contemporary art arena. The newly-created 560-meter-long epic scroll, entitled ＂Panorama of Tibetan Painting of China＂, overviews politics, history, culture, religion and economy of Tibetan nation, fully demonstrating various schools of Tibetan painting and reflecting highest levels and overall strength of contemporary Tibetan painters.

我不是艺术家，不是批评家，也不是专业策展人，只是因为工作的关系，担任此次展览的策划并被要求序其卷首。勉为其难，只能约略观照中国当代艺术现象。

It is generally believed that Chinese invented the kite which represents their pursuit of better life. Inspired by flying birds, ancient Chinese scientist Mo Di .made a wooden bird after three years of research, but it broke only one day after the maiden flight, This wooden bird is considered China＇s earliest form of the kite.     

Vigorous and Unrestrained： Weng Changjiang＇ s Painting

On an early summer day of 1995 my wife and I viewed a painting exhibition on eight artists from South China at the Research Institute of Chinese Traditional Painting. After enjoying the nearly 100 painting masterpieces and walking out of the exhibition hall, I noticed a solo exhibition being held in the side hall. The 400-odd ink paintings of portrait and landscape in a freehand brushwork style immediately captured my attention.

Though master embroiderers like Shen Shou, Yang Shouyu and Ren Huixian passed away, their moral and artistic legacies remain as valuable assets for generations to come. Their extraordinary achievements in Suzhou-style embroidery and respectable pursuit of artistic perfection have had significant impacts on younger generations of embroiderers. Besides these master embroiderers, Xu Shaoqing is another master that should be remembered as a big name in the history of embroidery.

Rosy Clouds in the Sky

From January 16 to February 10, the National Art Museum of China held a painting exhibition on its collection of ethnic minority motifs. On display included 180 pieces of painting works from the museum＇s collection, most of which are masterpieces by accomplished painters in modern China. These painting exhibits fall into such diverse categories as Chinese tTaditional painting, oil painting, print painting, watercolor painting and serial illustrations of story books. Subjects from various ethnic minorily groups of China have been depicted, which bring viewers with an opportunity to appreciate cultural diversity of China.     

让法国人了解中国当代“文化艺术”

法国人对中国文化历来兴趣盎然。从拿破仑开始，我们可以举出众多对中国文化颇有造诣的法国名人、伟人，比如可以从莫里哀、雨果一直数到现代的马尔罗、佩雷菲特等。在今天的法国，有一个人对中国文化不仅仅独有情钟、且对此次法中文化交流起了关键性的推动作用：此人就是法国现任总统希拉克。

Lao Jia＇s paintings have given me an unusual impression and triggered out my infinite imagination. The vigorous brushwork and remarkable ink dotting, as demonstrated in his painting, defies all the established conventions. Some say that Lao Jia＇s painting symbolizes a spirit or a philosophical value that can interpret the profound aesthetic concepts of Chinese traditional painting.

“The Image of China： Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Painting and sculpture” was recently on view at the National Art Museum of China, following its display at the Grand Palace in Paris this March, as an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic ties. The exhibition displays contemporarv works by 61 Chinese ink painters and 21 sculptors, representing the greatest achievements o[ the Chinese art communitv and dynamics of contemporary China.
