在合并中提高在改革中发展

近年来,我国高等教育管理体制进行了空前的改革和调整,改革的重点是解决计划经济年代形成的条块分割、低水平重复建设、优化组合教育资源的问题,提高整体办学水平和人才培养的综合素质.按教育部提出的"合作、共建、调整、合并"的方式,全国高等学校合并重组,调整规模空前.实质性合并的高校发展大多经历了"打破原有办学格局,重新调配办学资源,统一办学思想和观念,深化内部管理体制改革"的磨合期.做好高校合并的前期工作,尽量缩短磨合期是学校快速发展的基础.     

产业兴村特色富民

本文主要从农村经济和社会发展情况入手,剖析该区域经济发展存在的问题,并提出一些可行性对策,希望能探索出一条促进农村经济发展和脱贫致富的路子.     

Self-control through Self-recording

Language through Reading

Reading materials developed for five to nine year old children with severe specific speech and language disorders at John Horniman School, Worthing, Sussex are described by Muriel Gillies, headteacher. The materials are being used in some ordinary as well as in special schools, and for children with a wider range of learning difficulties than those at the Worthing school, which is run by the Invalid Children's Aid Association.     

Writing through Science

This article explores the introduction of science writing into the undergraduate classroom. By asking students to write about science for popular audiences, teachers can illuminate the social and cultural aspects of science that are often lost in the complex prose of scientists writing to their peers. Not much has been written about the place of science writing in technical writing classrooms, though some articles focus on the process of training students to be science staff writers for a newspaper or magazine. But teaching science writing goes beyond professionalization. It has to do with a poetics of science that heightens and enhances our appreciation of the world around us.     

Learning through discussions

Students studying a third‐year e‐commerce subject experienced face‐to‐face and online discussions as an important part of their learning experience. The quality of the students' experiences of learning through those discussions is investigated in this study. This study uses qualitative approaches to investigate the variation in the students' understanding of what they were learning through discussions, and how they went about engaging in them. Quantitative analyses are used to investigate how the students' experience related to their performance. Key outcomes of the study include that the quality of the students' experience of learning through discussions is positively related to their performance and that face‐to‐face and online discussions have qualitatively different benefits for learning.     

Inclusion through Distinction

The focus of this presentation will be on issues arising from a three year action research project, exploring young people's creative uses of digital technology, outside of formal education. The project, based at the University of Central England in Birmingham, and Jubilee Arts in Sandwell, has sought to both engage young people in a creative process, and provide access to digital technology. The research was formulated as a means of exploring the ways in which young people might utilise digital technology creatively, given access, outside of formal education.

"传统"这一术语一直是民俗学研究领域中众多关键词之一.文章对民俗学界是否剖析过"传统"及传统是否作为一个用以帮助民俗学家感知、探索和解释世界的分析性范畴进行了九个方面的探讨,分别是:作为过程和产物的传统、传统与创造性、传统:客位和主位分析、传统与现代性、民俗与传统、作为当代主题的传统、传统的驱动力、传统研究的趋向以及传统的困境.分析指出:只有当民俗学家厘清传统的运行机制时,民俗学才能成为一门"传统科学".     

Pre-service teacher learning through one-on-one tutoring: Reporting perceptions through e-mail

This formative study investigated the attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions of university students seeking teacher certification toward students with content-area difficulties as well as towards their own tutoring experience. A qualitative analysis of communication with the university course instructors reported through electronic mail (e-mail) messages revealed several themes. The researchers identified the following themes through analysis: instructional growth; emotional attachment; why students failed; self-evaluation; using what is learned; and the e-mail experience. These themes indicate that field-based experiences may benefit students as they are provided varied and regular support systems including both electronic and face-to-face. This support would facilitate discussions about the social and emotional development of tutees and help prospective teachers make more conscious connections among their other course work.

由于中国道德文化传统和意识形态的压力,“性”话语处于边缘化、缺席状态,在“男女平等”的宏大叙事的长期覆盖下,性别差异被彻底抹杀,女性作家处于失声状态。从“人的觉醒”到“女性觉醒”再到“身体写作”,20世纪以来,中国的女性作家们在历史的启示和当今世界女性主义理论的召唤下,对女性自身价值追求和角色定位作出了可贵的精神突破。     

向课程管理要效益以资源管理保质量

安排课程必须遵循一定的教育教学规律，学生数量和教室资源变化合理与否直接影响到教和学的效果及教学质量的提高。近年大学招生人数逐年递增，导致教室数量、容量不足，致使课程安排遭遇困难。而中央民族大学在课程安排中出现的部分不合理现象正在逐步得到解决。     

Staff support through supervision

Abstract

The article is based on a paper delivered to the AWCEBD KEYWORDS Conference at Cirencester in 1999, where the focus was upon staff emotional support. The article proposes that some of the causes of teacher and intelligence; worker stress are organizational factors and perceptual bias, and that staff support; stress is an inevitable consequence of working in an environment supervision where human relationships are critical for the successful management of young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.The author suggests that one way of alleviating this stress is through the introduction of supervision to the educational field. Supervision in other helping professions has been successful in providing support, changing perceptions, managing emotions and coping with stressful situations, and in so doing has improved relationships with others and work performance.     

Citizenship through the Humanities

In this article David Lambert argues in support of the humanities in the secondary school curriculum and underlines the contribution that they can make to citizenship education. He emphasizes but does not restrict his arguments to geography and offers a wide view encompassing the humanities as a whole. He explores the links between the humanities, moral education and citizenship and argues against the citizenship-as-subject approach.
