年龄通常是人们思想上的中心课题。我们年轻时,总倾向于把上年纪看成是件高兴的事,并渴望早日长大成人。而当我们变老,面对身体逐渐衰弱时,我们又总是把年老看成是件不快的事。有时我们会一反常情,总想要成为一个与我们年龄不相符的人。通过对其他人生活的研究,我们得出:一定年龄的人做出一定的事情。如果我们总是盼望更老成,更富有经验,如果我们总是渴望永葆青春或回顾以前的美好时光,那么我们现在就会一事无成。所以我们要珍惜我们眼前的时间,尽量地充分利用它。
