在写作教学中，我们经常发现学生的作文中普遍存在着千篇一律、思维程式化的情况。究其原因，是由于教师长期运用传统思维模式指导学生写作所致。教师过多地强调主题、立意，使学生的思维圊于思维定势，缺乏创新性、灵活性。要想从根本上改变这种局面，就必须把创新思维引入到写作教学中，给学生提供一个开放的思维环境，以激发学生的创新欲望；更新教学观念和方法，以培养学生的独立精神；强化创新思维的科学训练，以培养学生创新思维的习惯。
