纽约大学与图书未来协会合作探索数字基础设施

纽约大学图书馆（The New York University Division of Library,NYU）和图书未来协会（the Institute for the Future of the Book,IFB）合作为21世纪的学术交流活动提供数字基础设施建设研究。该两家机构得到了美国人文科学奖助会（the National Endowment for the Humanities）提供的启动资金,用于设计一系列网络工具作为MediaCommons的参与系统,MediaCommons是IFB目前正在开发的人文学科领域全电子化学术出版网络。     

Scientific Communication in the Developing World in an Open Access Mode: The SciELO Model

[Abstract） This paper introduces the Scientific Electronic Library Online （SciELO） program and its three main objectives. Then the paper presents the methodology of open access to scientific information by the SciELO. At last, it shows the perspectives of open access in developing countries.     

NPG免费提供生物医学期刊

NPG（Nature Publishing Group：英国自然出版集团）和INASP（International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications：科学出版物国际网络）宣布将向一些发展中国家免费提供65种NPG期刊的获取。NPG将通过INASP的PERI项目（Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information）向在非洲、亚洲及拉美的20多个INASP成员提供生物医学类期刊。

What＇ s New can Cultural Heritage Bring to China： Also s Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible on the Ideas of overall regional safeguarding of ICH As using and defining some new terms, the UNESCO＇ Heritage （ICH） may bring new frames, ethics, ways values （universal moral standards and ideas of human regarded Xiaohui Hu 1 s Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural of thinking and practices to China, and also input modem rights）. The practice of safeguarding ICH in China can be as the processes of keeping up with the 2003 Convention. If we neglect those new ideas, the safeguarding practices in China will lose its correct orientation and fundamental significance. Conversely, if it can be implemen- ted, we may have a chance to make a step to modem civil society, moreover, the folklore studies in China may al- so become a modem discipline and develop a public folklore space.     

一部关于宋代研究的动态工具书——《宋代研究工具书刊指南》简介

广西师范大学出版社2008年3月出版了由美国哈佛大学包弼德（Peter Bol）教授原作、英国牛津大学魏希德教授（Hilde De Weerdt）修订的《宋代研究工具书刊指南》（以下称《指南》）。该书是在包弼德教授90年代发表的《Research Tools of the Study of Sung History》（中文译名《宋代文史工具资料书指南》）初版（Binghamton,N．Y．：Journal of Sung Yuan Studies,1990）和第二版（Albany,N．Y．：Journal of Sung Yuan Studies,1996）的基础上,
