建立高校质量联盟 促进研究生教育协同发展 ——兼论行业联盟在质量保障和监督体系中的地位与作用

提出借鉴世界发达国家和地区的先进经验,建立高校质量联盟,使之逐步发展成为政府、高校之外的第三方组织,是完善我国研究生教育质量保障体系的重要内容,也是提高我国研究生教育质量的重要保证。认为建立质量联盟,应本着自愿、合作、发展的原则,以追求卓越质量的研究生教育为目标,凝聚具有共同志向和相当基础的国内研究生培养单位,通过高标准的自我规约进行质量自律和深度合作,促进成员单位的协同发展和整体进步。指出建立质量联盟,需要重视对质量主体共识、信息公开化、标准合理化、组织规范化等关键问题的把握。     

Using Examinations to Promote Learning

Abstract

The article describes the authors' experiences team teaching two sections of the same undergraduate social studies/language arts methods course using a model in which both instructors are present at all class meetings. One section was composed of predominantly older, nontraditional students; the other section included more typical college students. The majority of students in both sections enjoyed the experience. A narrative detailing the creation of the teaching team and suggestions for a successful team teaching experience also are included.

非正式学习是指学习者利用一切适合的条件进行的具有明确目的指向,自我发起、自我调控、自我负责的学习活动.基于Web2.0的社会性软件,具有个性化、主体性、社会性、多样性等特征,它的推出及在教育、工作、生活中的普遍应用,为非正式学习提供了有力的技术支持,是人们获取知识的一种最普遍方式.根据社会性软件的主要功能及对学习的影响,可将非正式学习的组织形式划分为在线交谈、个人信息检索、个人知识管理、协作学习和生成学习等类型.应用社会性软件,学习者不仅可以快速从网络获取信息,而且可以对信息进行分类存储和处理,实现个人知识管理,同时能够实现与其它学习者的交流和信息分享,促进信息向知识的转化,促进虚拟"实践共同体"的形成.     

Technology in Support of Collaborative Learning

This paper reviews the research conducted in the last 20 years on the application of technology in support of collaborative learning in higher education. The review focuses primarily on studies that use Internet-based technologies and social interaction analysis. The review provides six sets of observations/recommendations regarding methodology, empirical evidence, and research gaps and issues that may help focus future research in this emerging field of study.

在面对面问题教学中,师生、生生互动反馈的环节能增强学生的学习热情,促进师生间的情感交流与知识理解,同时也导致了教学耗时长、难以评价课堂表现等问题。针对这些问题,文章主要分析了微信公众平台良好的用户基础与功能,为问题教学构建了有效的学习环境,并结合问题教学经典模式设计了微信公众平台支持下的问题教学活动一般模式图,旨在利用其资源推送与记录交互等功能,在支持学生课前学习和记录课堂互动信息的基础上提出问题的解决方案。     

Teaching Learning Strategies to Increase Success of First-Term College Students

In this study, the authors examined the effect of taking a learning strategies course on grade point average, retention, and graduation rate of 351 first-year students over their first 4 terms in comparison with 351 matched non–course takers. The course taught 4 learning strategies and 8 substrategies to help students overcome procrastination, build self-confidence, take responsibility, learn from lecture and text, prepare for exams, write papers, and manage their lives. First-year students who took the course in their first term had statistically significantly higher grade point averages in each of their first 4 terms. They also demonstrated statistically significantly higher retention rates and were six times more likely to be retained. In addition, they had statistically significantly higher graduation rates than did their matched controls. In particular, graduation rates were 50% higher for students initially in academic difficulty. These findings reveal the value of teaching learning strategies to first-year students by means of a structured course based on educational psychology. This research holds potential importance for other universities and colleges seeking to improve the performance and persistence of first-year students.     

利用信息技术开展自学考试网络助学的质量保障研究

自学考试网络助学相比传统的社会助学具有突破时空限制,利于资源共享,降低学习成本等优势。保障自学考试网络助学的质量是当前完善自学考试网络助学的重要工作之一,因其决定了自学考试网络助学培养出的人才是否能够适应社会的要求,是否具备相应的知识与技能。借鉴国外远程教育质量保障的措施,探析目前我国自学考试网络助学存在的问题,分析内外部质量保障因素,是完善我国自学考试网络助学质量保障的重要途径。     

Using Online Surveys to Promote and Assess Learning

This article explores the use of online survey software to collect data from students during class to efficiently use class time. Several example activities for an introductory statistics classroom are considered. We also discuss utilization of online survey software for other purposes such as collecting assessment information and student preferences related to statistics projects.

针对协作学习中重视知识管理的需求,基于LTSA提出一种改进的学习框架,提高学习者对知识库创建和更新的参与程度.使用Wiki搭建出一个协作学习支持系统并应用于学术讨论,提高学习者学习的积极性,且有效进行知识管理.
