优化课程体系是地方本科院校培养应用型人才的重要途径。地方本科院校金融学专业课程体系优化的指导思想应是：打好坚实的经济金融理论功底,强化外语和计算机能力,强化金融实践能力和动手能力,以提升实践能力为导向,按专业方向模块化设置课程群。地方本科院校金融学专业课程体系优化改革的内容包括：构建一个符合金融专业人才培养目标的课程体系优化模式;合理设计实践教学环节,建立一个多层次、立体化的实践教学课程体系。
