环境教育和可持续发展教育究竟有怎样的关系?国内外学者看法各异。归纳起来,主要有五种:第一,环境教育与可持续发展教育是等同的;第二,可持续发展教育是环境教育的一部分;第三,环境教育是可持续发展教育的一部分;第四,可持续发展教育与环境教育互不包含,但有共同的部分;第五,可持续发展教育是环境教育发展过程中的一个高级阶段。根据相关文献分析,我们认为,环境教育是可持续发展教育的一部分,两者关系是互动的,环境教育需要面向可持续发展重新定向,可持续发展教育有着环境教育无法实现的功能。  相似文献

日本高等教育财政正面临着新的课题,一方面,是高等教育公共支出紧缩导致的财政紧张及大学入学人口的减少;另一方面,全球化中知识社会的出现赋予高等教育艰巨的任务。本文阐述了高等教育的焦点应从量的扩大转向质的提高的论点。美国的高等教育在20世纪80年代后期进行了这样的转变,但包括日本在内的多数OECD国家,没有能够实现这样的跨越。从金融市场开拓资源或许是实现跨越的关键因素。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Interdisciplinary sustainability programs are emerging globally, but little is known about the learning in these educational contexts. This qualitative case study examined undergraduates' experience in a Sustainability Semester, using the agency/structure dialectic as a theoretical lens. Before the semester, students' models of change for sustainability focused on individual actions. After two years, students' models identified systemic and structural barriers that constrained and enabled their agency as individuals. The discussion examines the “ripple effect” model of change that emerged in early interviews and considers how educators might use the agency/structure dialectic to help undergraduates move beyond individualistic models of social change.  相似文献

This study examines challenges for Kuwaiti Islamic Studies curricula planners, investigating their perspectives regarding interventions in textbooks. It attempts to explore motivation under pressures to change textbooks in Kuwait and determining if such pressures are related to globalization or to internal or external forces. A questionnaire identified internal and external pressures, showing that 43 of 75 Islamic Studies planners and designers indicated that the curricula are subject to political and societal pressures. They noted that politicians may interfere to pursue political goals or meet social needs. Planners confirmed that they plan and design curricula carefully to avoid controversy.  相似文献

ABSTRACT:

Researchers and practitioners in environmental education have widely recognized the importance of facilitating the growth of positive environmental values among learners. Environmental Values Education (EVE) is included in environmental education programs, whether it is consciously planned or is an implicit part of the learner's experience. There are, however, many constraints to developing a well-planned EVE program and integrating this into the general curriculum; foremost among these is the need for teacher training in the theory and methods of EVE. Coursework and practical training for teachers is needed in several areas. When choosing appropriate strategies for teaching environmental ethics, each teacher will need to become familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of each approach, his or her own capabilities and need for further theoretical and practical training and the needs of learners and the nature of the situation at hand. Each learner's level of moral development is an especially important factor to consider when choosing and conducting EVE strategies. It is important for teachers to become familiar with school and community attitudes concerning values education, in order to implement a strong program in environmental values education while working within the existing realities of school policies and community expectations.  相似文献
