Basic evaluation research of interim programs conducted to date has employed three of four conceptual models. In the present article, the authors (1) identify these four conceptual models, (2) briefly outline significant studies that have been conducted using three of them, and (3) explore the possible advantages of one model which has not been used or reported in the literature of higher education. It is hoped that some insight into the possible ways to evaluate interim programs was provided, that further thought about objective evaluation programs was initiated, and that creative ventures into areas not yet researched were stimulated.  相似文献

The build-up of Swedish research into higher education and its function in society has been in progress since the beginning of the 1970s. This work has been conducted under a special programme whose steering forms assure that the selection of researchers and research ventures is influenced both by research criteria and by practitioners' assessments of relevance. The purpose of the research programme is to articulate and analyse basic issues of higher education, so as to improve our understanding of the conditions in which higher education is best able to fulfill its tasks. The following is a short summary of the development of the programme during the past decade, together with a few examples of the content of the programme, and some concluding remarks on working procedure. There are also four appendices with information on programme costs, and the composition of the advisory groups, and with lists of the programme's current projects and surveys.  相似文献

In the last decade, the field of Electrical Engineering has been at the forefront in the development of joint industrial projects within Western Europe. This trend, together with the ever increasing number of cooperative ventures between European countries and other countries lying outside Europe, has led to a demand for engineers who are equipped to pursue a career in an international context. It would appear, therefore, that the training of engineers should both anticipate and reflect these developments. Not only should their education be of the highest intellectual and scientific standard; it should also aim to develop students' skills in foreign languages, and an ability to work with people of different nationalities in cultural environments other than their own.  相似文献

This article analyses educational research on gender inequality carried out in the Netherlands between 1982 and 1991. It can be regarded as a case study on the conceptualisation of the problem of gender inequality in education. In the Netherlands two types of research can be identified: policy‐orientated research, which was largely concerned with primary and secondary education, and action research which developed from within and focused on adult education. In the beginning most researchers in both types of research were aware of the problems related to the concept of ‘disadvantage’. Later on, policy‐orientated research on gender and education has increasingly approached education primarily as a means of preparing for a promising position on the labour market. The concept of disadvantage, which at first appeared to have been superceded, has been frequently applied in the analysis of gender in education. Action research, however, focused on the learning processes of women considering feminine qualities to be positive and valuable. We discuss the criticism from women's studies of the research carried out. Finally, the central concepts of the Dutch research are related to the classifications used in England.  相似文献

高等教育市场化是20世纪末世界高等教育领域出现的一种重要变革趋向。中国高等教育的变革也不例外地走教育市场化的道路。但高等教育在市场化的进程中,过于关注社会服务性责任①,过分强调市场化,加速高等教育规模的扩大,致使高等教育陷入窘境,出现了诸如就业形势严峻、教育质量下降等问题。论文仅从高等教育价值的视角,反思市场条件下高等教育的职责和行为,强调高等教育市场化中应尽其引导社会之责任,真正发挥高等教育促进社会进步之目的,并提出实现高等教育引导社会使命之建议。  相似文献

通过对中国知网中的中国期刊全文数据库等数据库1979—2013年发表的旅游教育相关文献进行精确检索,运用定量方法进行统计分析,得出以下结果:从研究年度来看,不同时间段呈现不同研究特征;从文献种类来看,旅游类和教育类期刊是旅游教育研究的刊文主体;从发文作者来看,高校人员是旅游教育研究的主体;从研究内容来看,旅游教育发展和人才培养是研究重点。未来的旅游教育研究还需要方法多样化,内容具体化,领域多元化,主体多层次。  相似文献

本研究对中小学教师参与校本教育科研的现状进行了调查和因素分析,并提出了若干建设性意见。研究结果显示:有相当数量的学校领导对校本教育科研不够重视,没有建立校本教育科研管理制度;教师对校本教育科研的认识参差不一,许多教师存有错误认识或认识模糊;影响教师参与校本教育科研的主要因素依次是:没有时间精力、缺乏研究经费、缺乏研究资料、缺乏研究方法知识以及思想不重视;教师参与课题研究撰写论文及发表论文在性别、学历、任教学科和学校类型等方面无显著性差异,而在年龄、教龄和职称等方面有显著性差异;教师从事教育科研与学校领导态度、学校教育科研制度以及教师的教育科研知识技能有显著性相关,而与教师对待教育科研的态度无关,我国的校本教育科研目前是一种"制度推动型校本科研"。  相似文献

Diversity has been an important topic of research for some time in higher education, though the purposes underlying this attention have varied across national and regional contexts. In many parts of the world, the term diversity has been emphasized with regard to variety among the programs or services provided by academic institutions, and differences among the types of institutions themselves. It is particularly important to discuss whether different dimensions of diversity may influence the degree of effectiveness of higher education (HE) in fulfilling its contribution and relevance to economic and social development. We are particularly interested in analyzing whether unitary or binary systems present significant differences in different dimensions of diversity that may be relevant to enhance higher education institutions’ (HEIs) contribution to territorial cohesion, notably by enhancing the local stock of human capital and contributing to the social and cultural development of their regions. Therefore, we propose the following research questions: *Are there relevant patterns regarding different dimensions of diversity between unitary and binary HE systems? *In the case of binary systems, is it possible to find relevant differences in different dimensions of diversity between universities and more vocational HEIs? By looking at these questions, we aim at contributing both to the literature on HE institutional diversity and to the study of the role played by HEIs on regional development.  相似文献

The idea that chemical knowledge can be represented in three main ways: macro, submicro, and symbolic (chemistry triplet) has become paradigmatic in chemistry and science education. It has served both as the base of theoretical frameworks that guide research in chemical education and as a central idea in various curriculum projects. However, this triplet relationship has been the subject of different adaptations and reinterpretations that sometimes lead to confusion and misunderstanding, which complicates the analysis of the triplet’s nature and scope. Thus, the central goal of this paper is to describe some of the existing views of the triplet relationship in chemistry and science education and critically analyse their underlying assumptions. We also propose a general structure of our chemistry knowledge intended to better situate the chemistry triplet in relationship with the different types, scales, dimensions, and approaches that seem to characterise such knowledge. Our proposed model may be useful in the analysis, evaluation, and reflection of educational research results and teaching practices centred on the triplet relationship.  相似文献

基于组态理论,探讨影响不同新创企业间绩效差异的多重并发因素和因果复杂机制。利用模糊集定性比较分析方法对237个样本企业进行分析,深入探究由环境层面的2个条件与组织层面的3个条件组成的不同组态与新创企业绩效之间的关系。研究发现:①高创业机会识别、高创业拼凑和高创业学习都是新创企业产生高绩效的必要条件,缺乏高创业机会识别、缺乏高创业拼凑是非高绩效产生的必要条件;②新创企业产生高绩效的驱动机制分为4条路径并概括为3种构型模式;③抑制新创企业绩效水平的路径和促进绩效的路径具有非对称性的特征。  相似文献

The relationship between research and policy and practice in education is a long‐standing issue in many countries. Focusing on the UK Government, which is responsible for education in England, this paper looks at the criticisms of education research that have been made in recent years by government and related non‐departmental public bodies and stakeholders. It then looks in more detail at specific examples of the use that has—and has not—been made of research in developing policy. But rather than produce a balance sheet of pluses and minuses in policy makers' use of evidence, the paper emphasises the realities of the policy making process and the difficulties in establishing consistently and exclusively evidence‐based policy. At the same time, it argues that researchers should beware of allowing their work to be shaped entirely by the Government's call for research that is directly useful to policy by always prioritising applied or practice‐based approaches. The paper concludes by highlighting the need for BERA to promote all types of education research—regardless of its utility for policy makers—and, as part of this, for the education research community to ensure that appropriate quality criteria are available for all approaches.  相似文献

The ‘bullied’ gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and otherwise Queer (GLBTIQ) student is a fairly recent figure in the sexuality education research literature. GLBTIQ students have previously been problematised by sex education research in a range of different ways and have been the subjects of varying methodological interventions. This paper explores how the different ways in which GLBTIQ students have been constructed by research, have been to some extent interdependent on the research questions behind the inquiries and the methodologies and methods employed to explore them. To achieve this, the paper draws on a Foucaultian view of research as discursive and the GLBTIQ subject as an entry point for considering different research discourses. It reviews constructions of GLBTIQ students in past, recent and emerging research projects through post-structuralist reflection on the key research reports, studies and peer-reviewed journal articles that have shaped the field of contemporary research. Rather than asserting a dichotomy between sex education research that contributes to constructions of the ‘deviant homosexual student’ and studies that contribute to ‘bullying victim’ tropes, the paper considers both the usefulness and limitations of the many different types of inquiries being pursued and the diverse constructions of GLBTIQ students they offer. Future research approaches for particular contexts and audiences are identified.  相似文献

This article provides an overview of issues likely to drive educational research globally over the next decade, and it examines the Asia Pacific Education Review (APER)’s role in responding to these issues, shaping research agendas, and delivering high-quality research. We also look at the implications of these pressures, along with changes in the academic infrastructure, regarding the form, distribution, quality, and utility of education research. We focus on three pressures in particular: a new demography of education, the changing technology of education, and the expansion of higher education and the research university. Demographic pressures create demand for new and different types of institutional responses and have created a new set of issues in education. Technological innovations promise to challenge current systems. MOOCs, web-based professional development for adults, mobile learning, and web-based performance supports for younger students will alter the physical, intellectual, and learning environments of higher education. How might these developments affect the infrastructure of academic research? Quality control will become even more central. It is a strength of academe, something which research institutions are particularly well designed to conduct. Growth in the higher education sector has been accompanied by equally unprecedented growth in research programs, research-trained faculty, and research-oriented universities. This, in turn, has produced pressure for more publications and journals. We conclude with a discussion of how the educational research community will likely respond to these challenges and the role of APER in this process.  相似文献
