This article reports survey findings related to the current status and future trends of blended learning in workplace learning
settings from diverse cultures. This particular survey was conducted of 674 training and human resource development professionals
from five different countries, mostly from the Asia-Pacific region (i.e., China, South Korea, Taiwan, United States, and the
United Kingdom). The results show that blended learning will become a popular delivery method in the future of workplace learning
not only in Western countries but also in Asian countries. Still, the respondents indicated that there were several barriers
to blended learning; one of the most noticeable issues was their lack of understanding of blended learning. There is a pressing
need, therefore, to provide practitioners with guidance on how to implement blended learning in their organizations. Additionally,
among the countries surveyed, the results of the present study revealed that there were significant differences in the current
level of adoption of blended learning, the respondents’ attitudes toward and perceptions of blended learning, and the content
areas taught by blended learning. Respondents’ predictions related to emerging instructional strategies, technologies, and
evaluation techniques for blended learning are also reported. 相似文献

This paper reports on an investigation into the representation of teachers in newspapers in five countries. An innovative methodology was used to develop a method of inquiry that supports a deeper understanding of media representations of teachers which can also be used by other researchers in comparative education. The paper explores relevant literature on teachers' work and media studies, and describes the decisions made about the selection of newspapers from the five countries and the analytical framework. Central to the project was the development of an analytic framework which we applied to our analysis of the media data collected from the five countries. The process revealed the construction of four categories of teacher identity: the caring practitioner; the transparent (un)professional; the moral and social role model; and the transformative intellectual. The aim was not to generalise categories but to offer them as they were found in newspapers during this time frame. The data analysis demonstrates the applicability of the innovative methodology while the project also contributes to locally translated understandings of teacher representations. The paper concludes with a reflection on the effectiveness of the methodology for comparative research. 相似文献

The purpose of this study is to examine the tendency for the development of self-regulated learning according to grade level.
As a means to this end, competing causal models for each grade were set up, and through validity tests for the causal models
the most fitting self-regulated learning model for South Korea students could be arrived at. Based on the conceptual model
of self-regulated learning proposed by Pintrich (1989), Pintrich and De Groot (1990), and Zimmerman (1989, 1990), which focus
on the relationship between motivation and cognition, three causal models were set up. According to the results of a structural
analysis for 1,865 elementary, middle and high school students, model П which structures intrinsic value as an exogenous variable,
was determined the best-fitting model. In addition, the 30% variance in the 5th grade elementary school students and 32% and
18% variance in middle school and high school students respectively are explained by the test model. 相似文献
