Spiritual Language and the Ethics of Redemption: a Reply to Jim Mackenzie   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
I argue in this paper that Jim Mackenzie's critique of my recent work on religious and spiritual education fails on two main counts. First, his imputation to me of a confessional approach to religious education is simply misdirected, insofar as my previous papers are quite clearly concerned to sketch an alternative to both confessional and phenomenological approaches. Secondly, his attempt to reduce my 'spiritual truths' to moral and other claims turns on some question-begging decontextualisation of such judgements, as well as upon demonstrable ambiguities in his use of the terms 'moral' and 'soul'. In particular, I argue that the language of spirituality is indexed to an 'ethics of redemption' which is clearly distinguishable from any discourse of secular morality.  相似文献

In order to get a better understanding of subject design and delivery using a hybrid approach, we have studied a hybrid learning postgraduate programme offered by the University of the Andes, Bogotá, Colombia. The study analyses students' perceptions of subject design and delivery, with particular reference to learning activities and the roles of lecturers and students during moments of interaction. Elements of socio‐cultural activity theory were taken as a reference for subject analysis. It is a qualitative research project containing some quantitative data. For the purposes of the study, the following instruments were designed and applied: a student survey, student interviews (by subject), lecturer interviews, and a subject design and planning observation guide. The study's conclusions present the characteristics of learning activities and of student–lecturer and student–student interaction that fostered the attainment of subject learning objectives. These characteristics can make a positive contribution to the process of subject design and delivery using a hybrid approach, meaning integration between face‐to‐face and e‐learning actions in the delivery of learning activities.  相似文献

现代诠释学各流派之间的的差异,根源在于对诠释的目标、诠释的主体与对象及其关系上的认识差异.对诠释的主体性的安顿乃是诠释学研究所关注的焦点.在现代诠释学形成之前,因强调解释的客观性而要求排除理解过程中的主观性因素.施莱尔马赫与狄尔泰继承了这一观点,并且为保证理解的准确性与和谐一致性,将心理学引入了诠释学.理解被视为主观地重建客观的过程.海德格尔的本体论变革使诠释学摆脱"客观知识"的束缚而彻底转向"意义"问题提供了本体论基础,诠释学本身也由理解的方法理论扩展为本体论学说.理解不惟是把握文本的方式,而且直接就是人的存在状态.伽达默尔的对话理论最终将被理解对象主体化,完成了诠释学从传统的注重"主-客体"关系的认知模式到"主体间"的理解模式的转化.  相似文献

Single subject research is a scientific research methodology that is increasingly used in the field of special education. Therefore, understanding the unique characteristics of single subject research methodology is critical both for educators and practitioners. Certain characteristics make single subject research one of the most preferred methodologies in special education. However, the design is not without limitations. The purpose of this article, by Orhan Cakiroglu, an assistant professor at Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey, is to provide an overview of the single subject research method's critical defining features and basic designs, and discuss what types of research questions single subject research is best suited to answer by providing examples from special education literature. In this paper, the author discusses pedagogy and strategy within the current climate set by the “War on Terror”. Deploying Lacanian psychoanalysis in a critique of standardized knowledge, the author develops a theory of “abject pedagogy” that seeks to subvert the current “regimes of truth” while providing educators with a viable pedagogy during this “state of emergency”.  相似文献

The author examines the relation between Michel Foucault's corpus and Freudian psychoanalysis. He argues that Foucault had a complex and changing relationship to psychoanalysis for two primary reasons: his own psychopathology, personal experience, and expressed desire, and due to an ineluctable contradiction at the heart of psychoanalysis itself. The author examines the history of Foucault's personal and scholarly interest in psychology and psychiatry, tracing the emergence, development, and shift in his thought and work. He then argues that Foucault's critique of psychoanalysis can be extended to the constitution of the Western educated subject, and that Foucault ultimately resolved his personal dilemma in relation to psychoanalysis by rejecting the ‘will to knowledge’ and refusing the notion of a stable and fixed identity.  相似文献
