Mining Jiangmen＇ s ocean culture resources is helpful to the Jiangmen＇ s contemporary development of marine economy and to the richness and completeness of Guangdong＇ s marine culture research.

Fall of the Northern Wei： Collapse of a Sino-Altaic Regime

Abstract ： It is argued in the paper that the fall of the Northern Wei regime was due to the collapse of political consensus at the court. The military difficulties which the regime faced from the 520s to the 530s simply aggravated the political situation and accelerated the process of court-based political disunity. The study provides a brief survey of Northern Wei political history, notes the structural institutional reforms of Emperor Xiaowen, and then focuses upon the impact of these structural reforms in encouraging new patterns of factional political behavior at court during the period from 500 through 530 （the reigns of Shizong, 499-515, and Suzong, 515-528 ）.

With the development of the society, there are new demands for higher education system. Sometimes these demands may affect the concept of institutional operation, thereby affects the developing process of universities. For the reason of social factors such as employment pressure and the concept of employers, some tendencies such as treating universities as vocational training in- stitution and universities ignoring their social imperatives in order to meet the needs of society come up. In order to meet the actual needs of universities＇ healthy development and manpower requirements, it is necessary to build up continuing education mechanism on which the employers play an important role. Only social roles fulfill their duties, can our education develop healthily and higher education improve continuously.

A Study on the Relationship between Physical Educational Majors＇ English Classroom Anxiety and English Classroom Willingness to Communicate, by SHI Yu ＆ FAN Weiwei, p.4 This empirical study aims to explore the relationship between English classroom anxiety and English classroom willingness to communicate by using questionnaires and interviews with 218 college physical educational majors. It is found that the physical educational majors have experienced the high level classroom anxiety and low to medium level willingness to communicate. Moreover, students＇ anxieties are negatively correlated with their willingness to communicate.

With the aim of designing an aca- demic system that facilitates multi-modal and personalized training of technological undergraduates, Guangdong University of Tech- nology carries out a comprehensive, in-depth study, which constructs a basic theoretic framework for large-scale, multi-modal undergraduate education reformation. This study starts with an analysis of social, regional and industrial demands for diversified graduates and of individual needs for diversified training, and then discusses educational system reformation that meets the above demands, including teaching system design, pattern selection, reform of teaching methods, and teaching guarantee system.

The author points out that the key theoretic problems in the argument between modern Western scholars and liberals are almost the same as Marx concerned in his time, although these problems have more colorful meaning in our time. Therefore Marx critic thinking is still relevant and meaningful for our thinking and research.

Abstract： The scientific identification of college and universitiy students with financial difficulties is the precondition and foundation for providing them with proper subsidies. This study points out that the present problems existing in the process of identifying those college and universitiy students with financial difficulties include the comparatively simple method of identification, the unscientific criteria for identification, the nonstandard procedures of identification, and the inadequate supervision during the identification process. Abstract： In the modem--era Meizhou, overseas Chinese real estate investment played an important role in the development of the city, especially in the development of its urban commercial system. A preliminary the study of the general situation and characteristics of the real estate industry in Meizhou based on local archives and gazetteers reveals the influence of overseas Chinese-funded real estate industry on Meizhou＇s urban commercial system at the city-town-and village-levels.
