几个连词用法常见错误例析

1.他虽然很年轻,但懂得很多。[误]Though he is very young,but he knows alot. [正]Though he is very young,(yet)he knowsa lot. [析]though是从属连词,but是并列连词,类似的还有because…,so…等,英语中从属连词和并列连词不能用在同一句中,故though与but不可连用,但与yet可以,这里yet只是副词。     

英语难句正误辨析

1、这不是教师阅览室,而是学生阅览室。 A.The reading-room,isn’t for teachers or students. B.Tha teading is not for techews.but for students. 析:B对。but在此处是连词,表示对比,与否定词连用。not…but…的意思为“不是……而是……,”在这个结构中、not和but之后要用并列的词语,当它与连系动词be连用时一般不缩

浅谈并列连词but

一般说来“并列结构”是由指两个或两个以上意义相关、层次相同、句法功能也相同、并由并列连词2或其他并列手段所连接而构成的语法结构序列.一提并列连词,学生往往想“and”和“or”,对另一个十分常用的“but”却常常忽略.这也许是受汉语习惯的影响,因为but做连词时有转折、对比、替代等含义,在中文的理解中更象转折连词而非并列连词.为了帮助学生更好地认识并列连词but的用法,笔者将其作一简单归纳如下:
