一、杜威有关“教育目的”的理论概述 首先，杜威概括、总结和分析了历史上曾出现的主要教育目的论。在《民主主义与教育》一书中。他分析研究了西方历史上八种有代表性的教育理论，并从中概括出三种教育目的论：（1）自然发展论。以卢梭等儿童本位论教育家为代表，其口号是“遵循自然”，要求教育应顺应儿童天性的发展。杜威对这一教育目的论给予了高度评价，肯定以自然发展作为教育的目的，能使人们重视儿童身体及儿童个性的发展。但杜威也批评了自然发展论的不足，他称之为“唯一的缺点”，
