图书馆古籍编目亟待解决的问题

图书馆文献编目多种，古籍编目历史最久而现实最落后，表现在至今没有统一的“四部分类法”，没形成统一的著录条例，尚有百万册以上的线装书没有编目。因此，笔者对这三方面问题的解决，均提出了自己的建议。

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

Portions of this paper were presented as part of a panel discussion on the benefits of Electronic Data Interchange between libraries and book and periodical vendors. Other panelists in the discussion group represented the book and periodical supplier perspectives. The experience of Laurentian University's Library which has been using a proprietary format since 1987 to send electronic purchase orders to The Bookhouse in Jonesville, Michigan, and the current work they are doing with John Coutts Library Services Ltd., S&B Books, Bookhouse, Blackwells, Faxon Canada, Canebsco, and others in implementing the ANSI X12 BISAC approved 850 Purchase Order and the SISAC approved 810 Invoice transaction formats for serials invoices are featured in this paper.

Standards for book and serial publishers

Although technical standards that affect the way publishers work have been in existence since 1935, publishers began to participate in the process only in the 1970s. Sandra Paul, who participated in the establishment of both the National Information Standards Organization and the Book and Serials Industry Systems Advisory Committees, reviews the role of publishers in using and developing relevant standards. She also offers some predictions about the standards areas in which publishers are likely to be active in the coming decades, especially those affected by internationalization of the industry and the exploitation of new technology. 论院系资料室在与图书馆共建共享背景下的图书排架方法——以安徽师范大学院系资料室为例

文章以安徽师范大学院系资料室为例,阐述资料室在融入图书馆藏书管理系统进行图书编目与排架过程中,利用"中图法"详表,结合通用复分表,使用交替、组配等辅助细分,确定图书分类号及排架号。探讨符合高校院系资料室藏书特性的分类排架方法,提高图书信息管理和检索效率。

大学图书馆首先是学校的,大学图书馆的使用权是一种特权,获得这种权利需要具有一定的资格。美国许多大学图书馆根据自身建设和服务对象的实际情况,通过细分读者类型,给予读者不同的图书馆使用权利,进而实现有效的管理,为读者和社会提供更优良细致的服务。     

新时代公共图书馆服务与建设创新的重点和难点

[目的/意义]新时代背景下,研究公共图书馆的根本任务、发展方向和重点难点等问题,对于推进图书馆事业变革,提升图书馆社会影响力具有重要意义。《公共图书馆法》将服务全民阅读定为公共图书馆的重要任务,指明新时代公共图书馆服务与建设创新的发展方向。[研究设计/方法]结合近两年多家机构发布的统计数据以及多个典型案例横向对比。[结论/发现]分析发现公共图书馆持证率、覆盖率和阅读率的现状和存在的问题。[创新/价值]认为提升持证率、覆盖率和阅读率是公共图书馆创新的重点和难点,更是公共图书馆提升社会影响力的关键。     

基于数字图书馆的互操作机制研究

介绍了数字图书馆互操作的定义、分类、特征以及互数字图书馆互操作的层次，提出了实现互操作的四种技术途径，并分别加以分析。     

《中国图书馆分类法》（第5版）应增设“语种复分表”

目前我国高校图书馆外文图书的索书号各不相同,这主要是由于《中国图书馆分类法》（以下简称《中图法》）（第5版）中缺少“语种复分表”。国外著名的分类法中都设有语种复分表,如《杜威十进分类法》、《国际十进分类法》等。随着国内各图书馆外文图书数量日益增长,《中图法》（第5版）的通用复分表中有必要增设“语种复分表”,其中的语种代码可与H大类下各语种的分类号相对应,同时也可参照其他通用复分表编制注释说明。     

分类搜索引擎类目体系研究

论述分类搜索引擎类目结构的编制依据、大类结构、类目体系的特点等；对存在的问题展开讨论。     

一种基于相似度的专利与产业类目映射模型——以《国际专利分类》与《国民经济行业分类》为例

[目的/意义] 提出一种基于相似度的专利与产业类目映射模型,模型拥有准确、易扩展和高效率的优点,可为后续研究提供借鉴和参考。[方法/过程] 整理现有专利与产业类目映射方法,以《国际专利分类》与《国民经济行业分类》为例,设计类目映射模型并做映射实验,通过Z-score标准化方法处理余弦相似度结果,完成《国际专利分类》小类与《国民经济行业分类》小类的部分映射,并根据国家知识产权局的试用版本对照成果综合评价本模型。[结果/结论] 模型综合考虑专利官方注释规范精炼性和大量专利数据覆盖面广的优点,通过自然语言处理技术自动化得到专利与产业类目的映射组合,较现有方法在节省大量人力成本的同时保证了正确率,并可方便地进行映射类目细粒度的调整,适用于其他符合本模型数据格式要求的专利与产业分类的映射。     

Personnel administration: in-service training at the nonprofessional level

A growing shortage of professional librarians has caused library administrators in all types of libraries to take a hard look at their interpretation of what constitutes professional work. The Free Library of Philadelphia is no exception, and in recent years it has evolved formal position classifications providing for the employment of nonlibrarians in positions formerly classed as professional as well as in the usual clerical and desk assignments. Conceived primarily out of necessity, these classifications and assignments are now readily accepted by the Library's staff, and there is little likelihood that earlier interpretations of professional and nonprofessional duties will ever be revived. This article outlines the Free Library's classification and training plan for nonprofessionals.     

中山大学图书馆建馆85年来方志专藏的结构分析

高校图书馆的地方文献收藏与公共图书馆有所区别,为更好地制定高校图书馆的方志专藏发展政策,以广州中山大学图书馆为例,对其建馆85年来收藏的方志文献进行抽样统计分析,分别从复本率、出版时间、方志地域分布等方面进行评估,并在统计过程发现不足之处。最后小结高校图书馆地方文献馆藏发展应考虑的因素。     

馆藏书目记录分类浏览方案的设计

针对目前馆藏书目查询系统检索功能的缺陷,提出应当增加书目记录分类浏览的功能,通过书目记录的分类主题式组织和FRBR式组织,来提高查询效率.     

维基百科对我国图书分类法修订的启示

分析了网络环境下我国传统分类法修订的缺点,指出维基百科建立、运行模式的优点,提出用维基百科模式修订分类法的构想。
