Colorectal cancer remains one of the most common types of cancer and leading causes of cancer death worldwide. Although we have made steady progress in chemotherapy and targeted therapy, evidence suggests that the majority of patients undergoing drug therapy experience severe, debilitating, and even lethal adverse drug events which considerably outweigh the benefits. The identification of suitable biomarkers will allow clinicians to deliver the most appropriate drugs to specific patients and spare them ineffective and expensive treatments. Prognostic and predictive biomarkers have been the subjects of many published papers, but few have been widely incorporated into clinical practice. Here, we want to review recent biomarker data related to colorectal cancer, which may have been ready for clinical use. 相似文献

This study aims to describe the types of intrafamilial violence perpetrated against children according to living conditions, family factors, and child characteristics, and to identify the association between types of intrafamilial violence and asthma symptoms in atopic and non-atopic children. A cross-sectional study was carried out with 1,370 caregivers as part of the Social Changes, Asthma and Allergy in Latin America (SCAALA) study, conducted in 2006 in Brazil. The study population was selected by random sampling. The main outcome measures were atopic and non-atopic asthma. We investigate the association between intrafamilial violence and asthma symptoms in atopic and non-atopic children. A backward multivariate logistic polytomous regression was performed to verify the main association. Nonviolent discipline (NVD) and maltreatment nonviolent discipline (MNVD) were positively associated with non-atopic asthma symptoms (NVD: odds ratio (OR) = 1.95/95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.17–3.25; MNVD: OR = 1.95/95% CI = 1.19–3.20). However, for the most severe intrafamilial violence, this association was not found after control of potential confounders. This study demonstrates the effect of types of intrafamilial violence on non-atopic asthma. Intrafamilial violence against children represents one more component in the determination of non-atopic asthma in Latin America. 相似文献

Interleukin-5 (IL-5) accompanies the development of airway inflammation and hyperresponsiveness through the activation of eosinophils. Therefore, interference of IL-5 expression in lung tissue seems to be an accepted approach in asthma therapy. In this study, we designed a small interfering RNA (siRNA) to inhibit the expression of IL-5. The siRNAs against IL-5 were constructed in a lentivirus expressing system, and 1.5×106 IFU (inclusion-forming unit) lentiviruses were administered intratracheally to ovalbumin (OVA)-sensitized murine asthmatic models. Our results show that lentivirus-delivered siRNA against IL-5 efficiently inhibited the IL-5 messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) expression and significantly attenuated the inflammation in lung tissue. Significant decrease of eosinophils and inflammatory cells were found in peripheral blood, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), and lung tissue. In addition, significant inhibition of airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) was found in the mice treated with siRNA against IL-5. These observations demonstrate that siRNA delivered by means of the lentivirus system is possibly an efficacious therapeutic approach for asthma. 相似文献

随着信息技术和网络文化的发展、构建新型师生关系的诉求以及教学模式的"程序化"使用等,教师传统的知识权威、角色权威和感召权威呈现出退隐形态。但在学校生活实践场域,学生的年龄特征和成熟度呼唤教师的智慧权威;师生关系民主化要求重新解读教师的角色权威;课堂教学的深度变革需要教师继续发挥感召权威。这些赋予了教师权威存在的合理性价值。鉴于此,拟尝试通过"外发型"法理性权威与"内生型"专业性权威这两种路径来实现教师合理性权威的重塑。 相似文献

principle of educational provision of high standard lies in recognition of the importance of assessment for enhancing educational
quality and raising the standard. Such recognition has led to establishment in Thailand of the Office for National Education
Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA). The office is an independent body set up to develop the criteria, methods for external
assessment and assessment of educational institutions at each level of education as stipulated in the national education law.
The ONESQA became operational in November 2000 and it must appraise every school at least once every 5-year cycle. In this
paper, the unique and the roles of the ONESQA will be described. The achievement of the ONESQA concerning the first round
assessment of 35,134 schools at the basic education level will be reported and recommendations for quality improvements and

20世纪90年代以来,伴随着大众文化的日益兴起,多元文化格局下精英文化逐渐退居边缘,知识分子面临着外部市场经济大潮的冲击以及内部自我身份的认同危机。相应地,小说中塑造的知识分子形象被颠覆,传统理想主义角色被消解。而小说中知识分子的形象的解构,加速了精英文化偏离正确的价值导向。这时候一部分作家以批判反思的创作心态,对知识分子形象进行重塑,给现实中的知识分子以警醒,同时为精英文化的重建提供了重要的启示。 相似文献

The purpose of the present study was to explore the relative roles of IQ and cognitive processes in reading performance. A sample of 443 Spanish children (264 male, 179 female) ranging in age from 7 to 13 years were classified into four groups according to IQ scores (<80, 80–90, 90–110, >110) and reading disabled (RD) and normally achieving readers (NR) were compared. The findings indicate that IQ scores were not related to the differences between children with RD and NR. We found that reading‐related cognitive deficits do differentiate between RD and NR children. Therefore, IQ scores do not make a significant contribution to our understanding of reading disability. 相似文献

Student suicides and attempted suicides are on the rise globally, and the numbers continue to climb steeply in most Westernized countries. School personnel remain untrained and uninformed in the area of suicide; few teachers or administrators can accurately identify the characteristics of suicidal behavior and fewer still have any knowledge of appropriate ways to deal with deeply troubled students. This article uses a powerful and tragic story of a student’s suicide as a catalyst for rethinking the structure and goals of mentoring relationships. A new approach, pairing novice teachers whose pre‐service education curriculum included specific training in recognizing and addressing the emotional needs of students with mentors experienced in real‐world classroom dynamics and the effects of school culture on children could improve the school experience for many students and potentially reduce the number of suicides or attempted suicides. 相似文献

网络传媒对少数民族文化的传播发展有巨大的重塑作用.通过对近几年我国彝族年的网络报道追踪调查,发现我国少数民族的传统文化在网铬传媒的“显微镜”下逐渐发生着蜕变,这其中既有“因网络”而“变文化”的被动文化重塑,也有“因文化变”而“显于网络”的文化诉求.网络传播的“交互性”、“开放性”与“文化资源重新配置”等特性,为各种少数民族文化资源提供了更为广泛的展示空间,成为各类文化的“自我抒写者”书写个人见解的新式平台,同时,增进了各种文化之间的交流.网络传媒对少数民族文化的发展既是挑战又是机遇:一方面,网络传媒可以帮助更广泛受众更深刻地理解、传播与保护少数民族文化;另一方面,在网络传播的过程中,某些少数民族文化之精髓无形中被消解殆尽,最后成为“象征的符号文化”. 相似文献
