“产婆术”对调动高中学生数学学习积极性的教学启示

古希腊著名哲学家和教育家苏格拉底创造的一套教学方法称为＂产婆术＂,它有四大步骤,即讥讽、助产、归纳和定义。现今的高中数学教学活动中教师对学生学习积极性的培养仍存在一些问题,导致学生学习数学的积极性不高。通过聚焦概念问题、在问题中质疑探究和强化概念三方面说明产婆术适合高中数学后进生的数学教学活动,从而调动学生学习数学的积极性。     

《农业机械学》多元化教学模式的探索与实践

就<农业机械学>课程教学目前存在的主要同题、教学改革方案、多元化教学模式等进行了探讨,并进行了教学实践.结果表明,多元化教学模式是以学生为本的新的教学模式,是实现以教师为中心向以学生为中心的转变,可有效提高教学效果和教学质量.     

"Pinklining" and childbirth education

Domestic violence in a family is often found to have begun during a pregnancy. "Pinklining" is denying insurance to victims of domestic violence. Both domestic violence and pinklining are concepts with which the childbirth educator should be familiar, including the relevant laws and resources.     

What once was old is new again

Through seminars and continuing educational opportunities, recently certified Lamaze childbirth educators beginning their teaching careers have learned of the changes in birth practices over the past 50 years. However, they may not have heard the personal stories about the locations and conditions in which Lamaze educators first taught. In this column, five childbirth educators share their memories of the birthing climate, teaching strategies, class populations, and other aspects of Lamaze childbirth education 50 years ago and how the "old ways" compare with today's classes. Their stories not only provide an important, historical perspective to build on the past and improve future educational opportunities for expectant women and their families but also illustrate Lamaze's ongoing efforts to promote natural, safe, and healthy birth practices.

Presenting relaxation techniques to pregnant adolescents

Teens present a unique challenge for the childbirth educator. A committed educator must find creative teaching strategies that will ease an adolescent's tension and provide a safe environment where a teen can "own" the message of her body's ability to give birth. The author of this column presents one of her own strategies for teaching relaxation techniques to adolescents.     

The history of lamaze continues: an interview with elisabeth bing

Elisabeth Bing-physiotherapist, childbirth educator, and cofounder of the American Society for Psychoprophylaxis in Obstetrics (now Lamaze International)-is well known to most childbirth educators in the United States. She has been a true pioneer in the education of parents for pregnancy and birth. Her book, Six Practical Lessons for an Easier Childbirth, served to guide many parents and childbirth educators in the use of the Lamaze Method for labor and birth. She has prepared a countless number of parents for their birth experience in both her hospital classes in the 1950s and 1960s and in her private classes in the "studio" of her New York City apartment building, where she began teaching in the 1960s and continues to teach today. Elisabeth is beloved by all those who have had the opportunity to meet her or work with her. She has created a legacy that will continue for decades to come.

以“文学性”为中心:文学理论教学的结构重建

当下文学理论教学的困境在于理论成为教学的主要甚至全部内容,而文学或文学性则被淹没。面对理论重负和文学缺失,不妨把文学理论教学建构成以"文学性"为中心的动态结构,即由教师、文本、学生和世界这四要素彼此关联而构成的一个整体活动及其流动过程和反馈过程;而只有通过文本阅读与批评相结合,才有可能发现隐藏在文本与世界、教师与学生之间彼此呼应的"文学性",才有可能在各要素的彼此关联中保持结构的对话性、整体性与开放性。     

Asserting "Needs" and Claiming "Rights": The Cultural Politics of Community Language Education in England

Language education policy is a contested terrain on which political conflicts are played out and relations of inequality are symbolically articulated and challenged. Language policies involve a paradox: for "language" is invoked as a reified object associated with essentialist constructs of identity to stand for much more complex and changing patterns of language use. In this article, I consider this paradox from the perspective of a campaign led by Sikh parents to have Punjabi introduced into curriculum in secondary school in Leeds, England. The study explores how "rights talk" and "needs talk" were used as idioms for making political claims about the value of teaching and learning Punjabi at school. This use of Punjabi as a reified political symbol is contrasted with Sikh teenagers' patterns of Punjabi language use. The analysis brings into relief 2 processes for asserting and contesting the value of Punjabi for different purposes and to distinctive ends.

Promoting wellness in lamaze classes

Lamaze childbirth educators are responsible for teaching wellness-based classes that do not add to the anxiety of the current, fear-based culture of maternity health care. Expectant parents' vulnerable months of pregnancy offer "teachable moments" for the childbirth educator, during which parents can be encouraged to alter their lifestyles and adopt the concept of wellness to their principles of living. In this article, concepts of wellness are examined, drawing from the writings of wellness advocates, midwifery researchers, and an anthropologist. Nutrition, physical exercise, breathing, and awareness of the five senses are components of potential class content explored in this article.
