A Survey on College Students’ English Learning Motivation and the Learning Results

This survey has been processed on 78 graduate students in grade 2010, majoring in science and engineer, from different classes. By analyzing the results of College English Test 4 and questionnaire, it shows that the students’ English learning motivation roots in Certificate. Differences between the winners and losers are not reflected in the time they have used to study, but the learning motivation they possess.     

A Study on the Correlations Between Chinese EFL Learners’ Autonomous Learning and Their Cooperative Learning

Cooperative learning and learner autonomy have become heated topics in English teaching.Many researchers both at home and abroad have carried out the study on this field,and they proved that learner autonomy and cooperative learning are rel evant,cooperative learning can promote English majors’learning autonomy in terms of listening,reading,speaking,however,no obvious findings in vocabulary and writing.This study is conducted to prove the feasibilities and effectiveness of cooperative learning applied to foster first-year non-English majors’learning autonomy from the aspect of vocabulary and structure.The re sults of this study showed that cooperative learning was much more effective than traditional teaching approaches in fostering some positive affective factors.According to this research,cooperative learning can also improve learners’vocabulary and struc ture significantly.     

A Study of Washback of CET-4 on College English Teaching and Learning

<正> This paper is a report of an empirical study of the washbaek effects of CET-4 on College Englishteaching and learning in ordinary teacher's colleges.The results of the study show that the skills,the activities andthe materials used in test preparation classes were solely consistent with those required in CET- 4;and that thenature of the impact of CET-4 on a variety of aspects of College English teaching and learning is both positive andnegative,but there are far more positive effects than negative ones,and,as a whole,the CET-4 can effectivelypromote the teaching and learning of College English.     

A Study on English Learning Anxiety of Senior High School Students under the Background of College Entrance Examination Reform——Taking a High School in Shaoxing County as an Example

As English teaching shifts the focus from"How to teach"to"How to learn",the study on learning anxiety has been gradually developed and deepened.Besides,college entrance examination reform is the largest move in education in recent years.This study aims at knowing the current situation of English learning anxiety of senior high students under test reform and its relationships with factors like gender,grade,personality,English efficiency as well as the influence of English test reform.     

A Survey on the Current Situation of English Language Teaching in Xinjiang Vocational Colleges——take Turpan Vocational and Technical College as a Case Study

To better carry out English Language teaching,freshmen of Turfan Vocational and Technical Colleges of 2019 Vocational College of Nursing are taken as the research objective.By understanding the current situation of students'learning,we can provide a practical basis for targeted English Language teaching and provide directions for future teaching of the language.
