今年５月１０日至１２日 ,香港档案学会代表团一行１５人应广东省档案学会的邀请访问广东。代表团以（美国）犹他家谱学会亚洲区域经理钱正民先生为团长、香港历史档案馆高级助理档案主任温伟国先生为副团长 ,团员为从事档案工作（或与档案工作相关的工作）的档案学会会员 ,他们来自香港历史档案馆、香港医学博物馆、保良局、科大、浸会等大学图书馆、天主教香港教区档案处、沙尔德圣保禄女修会、嘉诺撒仁爱女修会等团体。代表团在广州期间 ,参观访问了广东省档案馆、广州市档案馆、中山大学档案馆、黄埔区档案馆 ,与广东的同行就档案的收集…

卓有成效的会议广泛深入的交流国际档案理事会东亚地区分会第四次会议在香港召开

王刚局馆长被授与荣誉称号本刊讯由香港历史档案馆主办的国际档案理事会东亚地区分会第四届全体会员大会于１９９９年１１月８日至１２日在香港特别行政区召开。来自中国、日本、韩国、蒙古等东亚国家及中国香港、澳门地区及一些其他国家的特邀代表共８２人出席了这届会议,其中中国代表５１人。这次会议研讨的主题是,近年来国际档案界共同关注的问题———档案鉴定和电子档案的保存。香港政府档案处处长朱福强先生在大会上致开幕辞。会议期间,加拿大国家档案馆的理查德·布朗先生、加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学的伊斯沃特先生向大会作了档案鉴…     

由香港广华医院文书档案管理说起

前不久,我随上级行政部门领导一行应邀参加了香港广华医院百年庆典活动。这家医院是香港一所公营医院,是九龙西区最重要的医院之一,现任台湾地区领导人马英九先生于1950年在该院出生。作为一名从事医院档案管理工作的同志,我对该院展示的院史档案——东华三院文物馆馆藏的文字、实物、图片等上万份资料进行了认真的参观学习。     

北京市政协香港委员捐赠珍贵档案——市政协副主席黄承祥出席捐赠仪式

本刊讯5月11日下午,北京市政协委员、香港丽辉珠宝国际控股集团有限公司董事长李胥先生,将珍藏多年的刘清扬手稿--<李大钊同志首次代表中国共产党出席第三国际第五次代表大会的情况>捐赠给市档案馆,市政协副主席黄承祥出席了捐赠仪式,对李胥先生关注支持档案事业、热心捐赠珍贵档案的行为给予高度评价.市档案局局长、档案馆馆长王芸在捐赠仪式上作了热情洋溢的讲话.市政协港澳台侨委员会主任周焱云、副主任路舒平,市档案局副局长、档案馆副馆长时山林、罗运鹤、任志等有关方面领导也出席了捐赠仪式.     

第六届国际档案理事会东亚分会研讨会在澳门召开

第六届国际档案理事会东亚分会研讨会于12月2日至5日在澳门召开。本次会议的主题是“档案立法及东亚地区档案馆面临的挑战”。国际档案理事会秘书长阿尔巴德先生和国际档案理事会立法委员会成员参加了会议。中、韩、日及香港和澳门等国家和地区代表就档案法制建设作了报告。此外，来自美国、瑞士、中国及香港的专家和代表围绕电子环境中档案的真实性、档案与版权、档案立法原则、宗教档案保护等专题第六届国际档案理事会东亚分会研讨会在澳门召开@许春芝

谷歌:推出曼德拉专题数字档案展为纪念南非前总统纳尔逊·曼德拉的逝世,Google文化学院与纳尔逊·曼德拉纪念中心合作,在线展示纳尔逊·曼德拉的档案。这些多媒体档案包括曼德拉先生与家人、同志和朋友之间的往来信件,他在27年牢狱生涯中写的日记,以及在领导终结南非种族隔离谈判期间所作的笔记。其中还包括已知最早的曼德拉先生的照片,其自传《漫漫自由路》(Long Walk to Freedom)

Basic concepts of entropy, order, organization, information, knowledge, and meaning

The classical concept of entropy is shown not to reflect the essence of the second law of thermodynamics both phenomenologically and theoretically. A new concept of entropy, S _n , is given, which offers a particular physical meaning of entropy and provides an experimental determination of the entropy value. This allows one to avoid many attempts at defining the phenomenon of life via entropy characteristics and give definitions of life and an elementary structure of both life itself and devices that simulate life (automata, computers, and robots.). This, in turn, allows one to assign a substantive sense to the mathematical character of corresponding sciences (information theory, cybernetics, system theory, etc.) and define operational basic concepts of information, knowledge, meaning, and control, as well as to formulate operational concepts of order, organization, and self-organization and implement a new approach to problems of biology, biophysics, information theory, cybernetics, and system theory.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health issues, disparities, and information resources

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) persons, while widely diverse in many ways, share health disparities related to the stigma and discrimination they experience, including disproportionate rates of psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and suicide. Lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and the transgender communities have additional health concerns and disparities unique to each population. This paper highlights the national recognition of these health issues and disparities and presents web-based information resources about them and their mitigation.
