我们现在没有了古旧书店

世界上许多城市都有以古旧书店闻名的街道,比如东京的神保町、伦敦的查令十字路、巴黎的塞纳河畔.但在中国,除了去过的北京的琉璃厂,听说过但没去过的台湾的牯岭街,就几乎没有听说过哪里有这样的古旧书店聚集的地方.然而,当东京、巴黎的这些旧书店继续以都市的文化地标骄傲地每年举办活动和旧书展,吸引世界各地的文化人、爱书人去参观、逛游时,我们的北京琉璃厂却在淡出中国图书的历史舞台--现在每年图书出版界的三次大集市:北京图书订货会、全国书市、北京世界图书博览会当然也一直与它完全沾不上边.为什么伴随着国内出版业一派高歌、蓬勃发展的,却是古旧书店的没落?     

华文少儿图书的未来

古籍版本与古医籍整理及其编辑要点

何谓古籍版本?简言之,就是同一部古书在不同历史时期的不同刊本.我国的古代图书,历经了千年的风雨变迁、兵燹水火,其脱讹散佚者颇为严重.其间,屡经历代传抄影写与刻印,形成了各种版本之间的差异.诸如内容的增删修改,刻写的字体大小,版面的长短阔窄,印刷的精良粗陋,以及装订的精美简易等,均有所不同.版本不仅限于木版雕刻的书本,在印刷术发明之前,书写在竹简木牍和锦帛上的本子,以及后世的活字排版、照像石印、铅字排印等书本,均属于版本的范畴.

《新闻联播》的变革——从《集结号》登陆《新闻联播》到一次大学生调查

<集结号>登陆<新闻联播>,引起哗然 擅长制作国产商业影片的冯小刚导演执导的<集结号>于2007年12月20日上映,21日<新闻联播>就用1分零9秒的时长播出了该片的上映消息,"首先介绍了北京影院<集结号>的放映场场爆满的情况,紧接着又播报了上映第一天的票房情况,随后介绍了<集结号>的主要剧情,最后的总结是这样的:这部电影告诉人们每一个牺牲都是永垂不朽的,不经过血与火的洗礼,不经过牺牲,就不会有我们现在的幸福生活.     

"中国最美的书"是怎样走向莱比锡的

我国的图书走向世界有多个方面和多种渠道,除了华文书的直销、外文版的直销以及版权贸易以外,参加各种国际评奖也是一个重要的方面.由于图书内容的千差万别,难以有一个国际标准,所以目前有关书籍的评奖主要集中在印刷和设计上.近年华文书在国际印刷和设计方面频频得奖,对于传播中华文化和改变国外同业对华文书的看法,也产生了积极的影响.上海新闻出版局从2002年起,做了组织"中国最美的书"参评莱比锡"世界最美的书"的工作,现将有关情况以及我们的认识汇报如下:     

利益相关者视角下的图书馆电子借阅服务研究

[目的/意义] 以图书馆提供电子借阅服务过程中所涉及的利益相关者为研究对象,厘清各利益相关者的利益关系,提出建立基于社会平衡机制的图书馆电子借阅服务系统的主要路径。[方法/过程] 介绍图书馆电子书和电子借阅的发展现状,引入利益相关者理论分析作者、提供商、图书馆与用户之间的利益关系。[结果/结论] 研究发现图书馆电子借阅服务涉及作者与提供商的商业利益、图书馆提供信息资源的权利和用户获取知识的权利,不同利益主体存在既冲突又合作的关系;图书馆电子借阅服务系统不够成熟,产生明显的资源供需失衡问题。提出以下建议:完善法律制度,维护公共利益;扶持电子书产业发展,规范市场行为;建立许可协议标准模板,保护各方利益;控制采购成本,促进电子书资源利用;发挥电子书优势,促进电子书阅读推广。     

Architectures of Knowledge and Literary Tradition: A History of the Almanac in Croatia

ABSTRACT

The history of the almanac in Croatia is reconstructed through primary research in bibliographic and archival sources. The almanac is a vehicle for knowledge communication in informal contexts, engaging both oral tradition and literary forms traceable to medieval literacy and ways of structuring knowledge. The history of the almanac in Croatia reflects the changing context of the book trade, literacy, and the evolution of language. Four main stages are identified: (1) the beginning of the annual almanac in the seventeenth century; astrological almanacs reflecting the sensibility of the Baroque period; (2) the Enlightenment's stimulation of almanac publishing in the spirit of contemporary secular reforms in agriculture and education; (3) nineteenth-and twentieth-century almanac trade, showing complex and overlapping networks for the production, distribution and appropriation of printed almanacs;(4) roughly the end of World War II, when the almanac slowly moved out of the role of a popular mass medium and into specialized niches represented by regional, diaspora, and religious almanacs.     

Investigating salt decay of stone materials related to the environment,a case study in the St. James church in Liège,Belgium

Salt crystallization is recognized as a major cause of damage to porous building materials, threatening the sustainable preservation of our valuable built heritage. Unfortunately, the crystallization behavior of the detected salt mixtures is complex and not fully understood. While the deliquescence points of single salts are well documented, this is not the case for salts in a mixture where one is confronted with the presence of different cations and anions. In this paper the salt content of the murals and the limestone tracery of the main entrance porch from the sixteenth century church of St. James in Liège, Belgium is investigated and related to the climatic conditions of its environment. Concerning the salt load, the research consists of hygroscopic moisture content measurements, quantitative ion analyses, and the prediction of phase equilibria using the thermodynamic model ECOS/RUNSALT. This model can predict the salt crystallization sequences of a particular ion mixture. The output is mathematically evaluated with collected temperature and relative humidity data, which enables the calculation of the number of salt crystallization–deliquescence cycles. The results show that even small amounts of salts can cause damage over a long period of time when the environment causes frequent cycles of crystallization–deliquescence over time. It is shown how a mixture of small amounts of (double) salts, including hygroscopic ones, can have a significant effect on the decay of historic building materials in the case of daily changing climatic conditions and periods of extreme drought. As a result, the crystallization of double salts and hygroscopic salts such as calcium nitrate cannot be ignored. The scientific method and the results are described.     

北欧四国图书馆法发展历程及现状分析与研究

回顾北欧四国即丹麦、芬兰、挪威及瑞典图书馆法的发展历程,并从9个方面对4部法典进行比较研究,包括:①图书馆性质;②图书馆经费来源;③图书馆服务标准;④图书馆资源建设;⑤专业人员任职;⑥图书馆发展与布局;⑦图书馆的管理体制;⑧图书馆资源共享建设;⑨图书馆法执行力度。在此基础上发现北欧四国的图书馆法具有宏观规划性、优秀的特殊用户群服务、图书馆事业资金获得有力保障及政府在图书馆事业中的责任明确4个特点。     

国内图情档专业需求现状调查与分析

[目的/意义] 通过研究图书馆学、情报学、档案学专业（图情档）需求现状,为本领域相关人群提供就业参考,同时也为本学科的教学改革提供借鉴。[方法/过程] 运用内容分析法对2016全年度我国1 359家单位的图情档需求数据进行定量研究,以图情档毕业生的求职方向和求职问题为研究目标,选择招聘机构和相应的招聘信息为分析对象,设计不同维度的分析体系,在具体抽样分析和量化分析数据的基础上,得出结论。[结果/结论] 通过实证研究发现,图情档毕业生在就业时主要遇到户籍、第一学历、政治面貌和性别等的差别对待。最后,从求职者、用工单位及上级管理部门两个角度提出建议。     

Towards a Preliminary Understanding of the Social Organization of Public Libraries:

Three public libraries were examined to assess their patterns of social interaction as determined by oral communication, with the primary aim of the research being to identify liaisons within the communications network. A subsidiary aim was to determine the 'fit' of the emergent with the formal organizational structure. It was possible to compare the structures of the organizations in two cases, and in both of these cases the emergent (informal) structure matched the formal structure quite closely. Library and Information Center managers need to attach some degree of importance to such knowledge as the informal and formal structural fit may impinge upon organizational effectiveness.     

Up in the air: Are airlines following the new DOT rules on equal pricing for people with disabilities when websites are inaccessible?

This paper details the findings from a study of airline compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations requiring that persons with disabilities not be discriminated against in the pricing of airline travel. These regulations mandate that if an airline website is inaccessible for persons with disabilities, the airline must charge the same price that is available on the website and may not charge a fee for purchasing tickets over the phone. To evaluate compliance, the websites of leading airlines were examined for accessibility in terms of the ability to check flight schedules and order tickets. Among the four airlines with barriers to accessibility on their websites, a series of phone calls were made by researchers to assess whether the DOT regulations would be followed. Two of the airlines, USAirways and United, practiced discriminatory pricing, even after being made aware of the regulations, in over one-third of the phone calls. This paper details the findings from the study and analyzes the data in terms of website accessibility, civil rights for travelers with disabilities, and policy implications.     

Researching Initiatives and Referenda: A Guide for Nevada

SUMMARY

The Nevada Constitution provides voters with the ability to propose new statutes, amendments to existing statutes, and amendments to the State constitution through the initiative petition process. Voters can also approve or disapprove of existing statutes through the referendum petition process. Both require the circulation of a petition to collect a minimum number of signatures before the Secretary of State will place the measures on the ballot for the general election. As with other topics of law, Nevada has a profound shortage of research resources on initiatives and referenda, but State law and government Web sites provide enough information to allow for significant research.
