The DV Era:For College Students,It''''s the stuff of Dreams

The rapid development of digital media is bringing revolutionary changes to the way people make movies. Self-produced short movies by ordinary people are no longer rare in Chinese society. Recently, a digital video (DV) craze has swept universities across the country. A lot of people use DV to snapshot significant moments in their lives. But groups of college students in China are using DV to express their innermost feelings about campus life in modern China. Quite a number of DV short movies made by young college students have become popular at nearly all university campuses here, such as "A Night Talk in Tsinghua University", "Our Golden Time" in Xi'an Jiaotong University and "The Place Where Our Dreams Begin" in Zhejiang University of Technology. Ignoring the comments from movie critics outside the campus, these students continue to make films to fulfill their dreams.
