Reconstruction algorithm in lattice-invariant signal spaces

In this paper, we mainly pay attention to the weighted sampling and reconstruction algorithm in lattice-invariant signal spaces. We give the reconstruction formula in lattice-invariant signal spaces, which is a generalization of former results in shift-invariant signal spaces. That is, we generalize and improve Aldroubi, Grochenig and Chen's results, respectively. So we obtain a general reconstruction algorithm in lattice-invariant signal spaces, which the signal spaces is sufficiently large to accommodate a large number of possible models. They are maybe useful for signal processing and communication theory.

Reconstruction of Novel Viewpoint lmage Using GRNN

A neural-statistical approach to the reconstruction of novel viewpoint image general regression neural networks(GRNN) is presented.Different color value will be obtained by watching the same surface point of an abject from different viewpoints due to specular reflection,and the difference is related to the position of viewpoint.The relationship between the position of vewpoint and the color of image is non-linear,neural network is introduced to make curve fitting,where the inputs of neural network are only a few calibrated images with obvious specular reflection.By training the neural network,network model is obtained.By inputing an arbitrary virtual viewpoint to the model,the image of the virtual viewpoint can be computed.By using the method presented here,novel viewpoint image with photo-realistic property can be obtained,especially images with obvious specular reflection can accurately be generated.The method is an image-based rendering method,geometric model of the scene and position of lighting are not needed.

Reconstruction from contour lines based on bi-cubic Bezier spline surface

A novel reconstruction method from contours lines is provided. First, we use a simple method to get rid of redundant points on every contour, then we interpolate them by using cubic Bézier spline curve. For corresponding points of different contours, we interpolate them by the cubic Bézier spline curve too, so the whole surface can be reconstructed by the bi-cubic Bézier spline surface. The reconstructed surface is smooth because every Bézier surface is patched with G² continuity, the reconstruction speed is fast because we can use the forward elimination and backward substitution method to solve the system of tridiagonal equations. We give some reconstruction examples at the end of this paper. Experiments showed that our method is applicable and effective. Standardizing chaos: a neo‐institutional analysis of the INEE Minimum Standards for Education in Emergencies,Chronic Crises and Early Reconstruction

Violent conflict and humanitarian disasters such as floods, famines, or tsunamis, have existed since the start of human history. However, it is only recently that education in these emergency situations has emerged as a visible organizational field. We aim to use a unique theoretical application of sociological neo‐institutionalism to explain the rapid and recent rise of emergency education as a professional field, focusing specifically on the creation of global standards called the INEE Minimum Standards for Education in Emergencies, Chronic Crises and Early Reconstruction. We argue that international standards in emergency education arise due to the institutionalization of education as a human right and rationalization of approaches to solving social problems. A key implication of our argument is that decoupling between formal standards and on‐the‐ground practice is likely to be endemic, lessening the day‐to‐day utility of the standards. However, the creation of international standards and an organizational field of emergency education professionals may provide long‐term benefits by contributing to the re‐definition of humanitarian intervention to include education.

In 2004, a reform report entitled “Democratic and Humanistic/ Humane Paideia in the Euro-Cypriot Polity: Prospects for Reconstruction and Modernization” was published by the Ministry of Education and Culture in the Republic of Cyprus. Professor Andreas M. Kazamias is held to have been the driving force behind this initiative, shaping both the form and the contents of the report. The article takes this claim as its point of departure, seeking to validate, modify or reject it by means of a biographical sociological approach that studies the report as an interplay of history, structure (or culture), and biography.
