高校大学生运动训练疲劳应对分析——以广西第十二届民运会广西民族大学参赛学生为例

竞技体育快速发展,运动员为了取得优异的比赛成绩要长期承受大运动量、高负荷的训练。运动员训练过程中产生的疲劳现象主要与成就感的降低、情绪/体力耗竭和对运动的负评价程度相关。改善运动员心理承受能力和应变能力,减轻心理负担,根据个体运动潜力进行针对性训练,科学安排训练量、训练强度和训练时间等可以提高训练效率。     

Some Theoretical and Practical Issues in Counseling the Learning Disabled Student

Self-esteem problems of learning disabled students are defined in terms of narcissistic insults to a sense of competency and sense of lovability. From some LD students, attempts to defend against these insults lead to symptomatic expression which in turn is often confused with the dysfunction attributable to the learning disability. Implications for counseling and psychotherapy are discussed in an attempt to provide a framework for treating this growing population of college students.     

Research: Managing College Student Mental Health Crises After-Hours: A Survey of Counseling Centers

Counseling center directors at 22 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania were surveyed regarding staff involvement in students' mental health crises after hours. Center practices regarding on-call procedures, counselor availability, hospitalization of students, and management of impaired students on campus are described and potential problems are discussed.

Professional Issues: Alcohol Abuse and College Counseling: An Overview of Research and Practice

Recent research suggests that alcohol abuse is widespread among college students, with approximately 20% of all students qualifying as heavy drinkers and over 40% of students reporting at least 1 binge-drinking episode in a given 2-week period. This drinking is associated with a number of adverse consequences, including sexual misconduct, damage to property, academic difficulty, drunk driving, unsafe sex, and suicidality. This article identifies tools that have demonstrated value in detecting and assessing alcohol problems and summarizes those counseling approaches that have been found to be successful and unsuccessful in reducing alcohol consumption. A major conclusion is that the structure and content of most campus counseling services are poorly suited to deliver high quality interventions for students with alcohol problems. Five steps are identified far improving the level of programming for at-risk college and university students.     

新形势下高校学生的心理问题与辅导策略

分析了当前形势下高校学生普遍存在的心理问题,针对问题提出了进行心理辅导工作的策略。新形势下的心理辅导应以预防为主,通过开设心理课程、举办知识讲座、心理辅导活动来提高学生整体心理素质,通过个别辅导对有心理障碍的学生进行治疗。     

Community College Student Success Inventory (CCSSI) for Men of Color in Community Colleges: Content Validation Summary

This study reports on the content validation of the Community College Student Success Inventory (CCSSI) for Men of Color. The CCSSI was designed to be used by community colleges to assess their effectiveness in addressing success outcomes for men who have been historically underrepresented and underserved in education, particularly men of color. A panel of subject matter experts (SMEs) rated the instrument and provided qualitative feedback on additional areas for consideration. Content validity index (CVI) and scale level index scores (S-CVI) are reported. The instrument illustrated strong CVI and S-CVI scores. SMEs suggested several additional areas for consideration that were added to the CCSSI. The instrument is recommended for use by community colleges interested in enhancing outcomes for men of color.     

南疆维吾尔族大学生国家认同和民族认同的比较研究

在多民族国家,国家认同和民族认同的关系严重影响社会和谐稳定,而且这种关系复杂多变。本文使用自编问卷对南疆1219名维吾尔族大学生的国家认同和民族认同现状及其关系进行调查,结果表明:维吾尔族大学生的国家认同和民族认同都高于中等水平,且二者呈显著正相关;维吾尔族女大学生的国家认同和民族认同均显著高于男大学生。另外,父母是否为同一民族、所在年级和学习汉语时间长短等因素均对维吾尔族大学生国家认同和民族认同有一定程度的影响。     

西方大学生身份研究及其启示

西方大学生身份研究已有半个多世纪,取得了丰硕的研究成果。不同学科领域从不同视角对大学生身份加以诠释,提出了各自的理论模式,其中心理学、社会学、社会心理学、个体与环境理论以及最新研究法在大学生身份研究方面成果尤为突出,这些研究对大学生、大学管理人员和教育工作者具有重要的指导意义。     

Small College Counseling Centers:

College counseling centers have experienced continued change and development in roles and functions since their inception in the 1930s. Recent shifts include a focus on personal counseling, the broadening of services, and an increased severity in student problems. Administrative policy, restricted staffing, and limited budgets particularly impact small college counseling centers. This article explore these issues through a case study format and discusses the concurrent philosophical and training implications as challenges for the small college counseling center of the 1990s.     

Counseling Taiwan Chinese in America: Training Issues for Counselors

This article examines cultural influences on Taiwan Chinese in America who seek counseling. Typical counseling struggles, effective counseling strategies and theoretical approaches, and training implications are addressed.     

Student Characteristics That Predict Persistence in Community College Online Courses

Abstract

This study examined the student characteristics of learning style, locus of control, computer experience and access, and online course experience on persistence of community college students in online courses. An online survey instrument based on the Barsch Learning Style Inventory (1996 Barsch, J. 1996. Barsch learning style inventory, Novato, CA: Academic Therapy Publications.  [Google Scholar]), the Abbreviated Measure of Internal–External Locus of Control (1974), and a computer experience scale that was developed by the researchers was completed by 225 students enrolled in online courses at five Florida community colleges. Logistic regression analysis identified a three-variable model (auditory learning style, grade point average, and basic computer skills) that was significant in predicting online student success. Academic and student support interventions are suggested for community college students who may be affected by these predictors.

Low Cost but Effective: Staff Development Activities in Community College Student Affairs

This study examines staff development practices in community college student affairs. Nineteen interviews were conducted with supervisors in a variety of departments at community colleges. We found that supervisors frequently used multiple practices such as conducting staff meetings, attending institutional training, or viewing topical webinars were frequently used by supervisors to provide professional development opportunities. We also highlight distinct approaches including the concept of active listening and after-hours activities. Finally, we explore implications for staff development in community colleges and identify potential future practices and improvements.     

Exploring Community College Faculty Perceptions of Student Outcomes: Findings of a Pilot Study

This study explored the paradigmatic differences in perceptions of community college faculty employed at select Virginia and West Virginia community colleges collected via a web-based survey. The study is framed within the faculty self-classification along the “hard” and “social/behavior” science paradigm continuum. Given the paradigmatic continuum, faculty perceptions' of student outcomes were examined. Faculty respondents consistently reported the importance of intellectual growth; however, differences in relative importance of outcomes tied to emotional, cultural, and social growth exist. The potential implications of these perceptions on student experiences and outcomes are considered.
